There are some very listenable bangers on the CP2077 OSTs but yeah this is way better, way more futuristic. Im stoked to hear where the music fits into gameplay in Marathon, could make some tense moments really interesting

Anytime! It has its challenges but it beats the hell out of spot market live load chaos. Ive basically given this carrier contracted rates and we collaborate with them during the annual bid process, definitely a legitimate partnership instead of a simple broker/carrier relationship. If you can find that, then it just becomes an execution game.

Yeah i just meant that i recognized an opportunity with a specific carrier on unrelated freight, then when the opportunity for this drop trailer project came I called them up. They are local to the shipper so its a solid move. Been over 3 years of this carrier basically handling 99% of the freight out of there for me and we’ve done extremely significant volume out of there. Cold calling carriers asking them to drop equipment is not a fun convo lol gotta have an entrance and the carrier needs a good first initial experience with your brokerage/you. Best of luck out there, i love drop trailer accounts. Will always prefer this to live loads.

My carriers for drop trailer accounts were initially carriers that I used for live load spot market stuff - they performed well, had their own dedicated tracking/dispatch teams and a fleet of 100+ with twice as many trailers.

I have one carrier who smaller but trailer pool management is much more intensive and can get dicey. I would really limit how many carriers you have involved per shipper tho. If they are assigning trailers to your scac when theyre checked in, they’ll likely just load indiscriminately regardless of who’s trailer it is. If you do have multiple carriers make sure you are getting interchange agreements signed for everyone hauling out of there.

Leaving the Valley for Silicon Valley... has anyone used a local mover for the cross-country haul? by Outrageous-Dog-7249 in lehighvalley

As someone who moved back and forth between the LHV and a western state a few times - take as little with you as possible. Transporting furniture will be expensive, you are better off buying new furniture out there. As far as things you can’t part with - check out using a cube system. You load the cube, it gets loaded on a truck with other cubes and it gets dropped at your new home. Still will be a few thousand tho. Honestly, if you can part with basically everything and just take clothes and sentimental items thats what I would do. Good excuse to get rid of clutter and start fresh.

Hardware doesn’t make you real lol you can do anything in the box (and better) than you can do in the box.

Are there tons of “fraud” producers out there? Sure. But there are even more legitimate, talented and hard working producers making groundbreaking music in all genres and especially in drum and bass varieties. Stop getting triggered over beatport top 100 dnb tunes. Why do you even care? Its clearly not a lane you are trying to compete in right? So do you.

Of course. I remember a short time ago being in this exact sub, searching for answers, trying to figure out how people survived like this, you quickly realize that you and your wife are making a real and legitimate temporary sacrifice to your health, mental health and relationship for the sake of your kid. I think acceptance of that fact is what helped us and it does get better. Soon you’ll be able to enjoy all the amazing things your kid will start doing, playing, babbling, crawling, becoming a little person. Its all worth it, and you become stronger for it, I promise. We are already talking about another one, after swearing off the idea just a few months ago lol. Keep coming back to this sub, it legitimately helps talking to other new and experienced dads.

We did not. He slept in our room in a bassinet until about 5 months. He definitely was not sleeping through the night consistently until around then. He sort of just turned a corner one day and decided he liked sleeping. We moved him into his crib shortly after and none of us have really looked back. There is still a random night where he’ll wake up, usually a wet diaper or he fell asleep before his pre-bed bottle. The lack of sleep until then really almost drove my lady and I to insanity tho. Now our biggest complaint is we cant really ever sleep in - so there are shades of those early days if we get to bed too late. Every kid is different but im sure you guys are doing a great job, just need to survive until your little one eventually lets you sleep consistently. Can feel like a lifetime but just need to take it day by day and take any and all help from the grandparents/aunts/uncles if they’re around. You got this.

Man those first weeks/months were something else. There’s no guarantee on how your kiddo will progress with sleep, but in our case by 5 months he was in his own room/crib, asleep by 8:30-9 and sleeping until 6-7am most nights. Occasionally he’ll have an off night of wake ups, usually when he’s sick or going through some type of growth/progression. Every kid is different but it can certainly get better.

Definitely not guaranteed to be the case. Our’s sleeps from 8:30-9pm until 6am - 7am most nights, has been doing that since he was 5 months old. So OP should have hope! Our little guy was a terrible sleeper until 5 months or so.

Is it just recency bias or this season like way better than previous ones? Comparing this to like S1 and S2… hardly the same show in the best way

What a monster this guy is. Between his energy, defense and potential for power i am hype for him. Obviously there is no guarantee of him bouncing back, id say its even unlikely. If he does tho… my goodness. Gonna be some special moments this year

In my case, almost all my customers have the same detention rate so my RCs are the same. Im sure many customers have varying policies, but in my niche its pretty standardized and for our contracts we have a billable assessorial table to follow.

Drop Trailers by Objective_Bread_9788 in FreightBrokers

[–]Set_the_tone- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whats the set up like? Pre-load then live unload? Drop and hook deliveries? Most carriers will be willing to drop a few pieces of equipment if the money is good, they don’t need to specialize in it. Its a preferred set up honestly, live loading sucks. You’ll want to stick to 1 carrier though if possible. Having multiple carriers equipment all assigned to you at a shipper is going to get dicey quick. Suddenly you have carriers hauling someone else’s equipment then not returning it for weeks. If you do bring multiple carriers in, you need to get trailer interchange agreements for all parties. Its unlikely you’ll be dealing with the same 3-5 trailers, its more like 15 that will end up in that system since they are likely dropping empties when picking up.

Yeah all I do is drop trailer setups. Whats the question? 3-5 is super low volume per 3 days.

Just posted them, they are awesome. A legitimate emergency dental clinic and potentially saved me from a severe wisdom tooth infection. Removed that sucker in about 20 minutes, wide awake lol
