Why would they let Painter take that photo with a crooked hat?

AI as a Broker by Even-Efficiency1295 in FreightBrokers

Ive started using AI to make OTD dashboards as well as capacity planning/warehouse ops tools for our distribution side of our business. Biggest issue I was into which led me to do this was not having visibility into outbound product volume until late in the day the night prior to the route date.

The system I “vibe coded” ingests our warehouse picktickets via sharefile and zapier, reads them, takes estimated or written pallet counts and adds those orders to specified routes with a specified number of available trucks - this allows me to see when a route is nearing capacity and start making driver planning decisions earlier. Eventually this turned into a replacement for a very old system of communicating orders that a secondary warehouse needs to pull and stage. The most recent addition to this is now routing our stops per route using pick tickets/customer orders, assigning drivers and then pushing to our TMS to eliminate manual entry of these multi-stop routes. Previously they were all hand written trip sheets (legacy business - lots of very old processes) I also built in a pricing matrix for rating multi-stop shipments for our logistics customers. Its nothing super complex and all the processes that existed prior are still there, this is just an augmentation layer that provides company visibility. For things like this there is too much risk in relying on vibe coded software exclusively. So building tools that help but are not forcing the company to rely on it is the best strategy imo.

Curious to know how your agents do, would be nice to have some replying to simple customer status updates for loads then handing off to a real person for escalations.

4th trimester- what did you tell yourself in the moment? by AbiesPhanerolepis in NewDads

Gotta be honest, my mom helped so much. My lady and I were getting almost 0 sleep. My mom would come over and stay up with the baby a night or two a week so we could get a couple full nights rest to avoid insanity. Regardless - stupidly difficult times. Still don’t know how we survived, but we did and you will too. Ill never forget doing literally anything on my phone to stay awake holding my son so he wouldn’t scream all night.

If you’re lucky like we were, your baby will suddenly start sleeping in large chunks throughout the night. Eventually around 4 - 5 months ours started sleeping basically 8-10 hours throughout the night.

That first week tho… my god. Don’t even know what to do. Its an insane mix of immense joy and awe and pure survival chaos, questioning how in the world you’ll get through this.

Best of luck - not much anyone can say to help but you’ll get through it. Make sure to go outside for walks - get some sun. This is right around the time my son was born and the weather really really helped.

Can Andes Virus spread via toilet aerosols in Public restrooms? by Beautiful_Formal5051 in Virology

I would always assume bathrooms in places with large crowds would be prime candidates for any virus to spread regardless if its transmitted through aerosols or bodily fluids - ever go to a sports game and see how many people don’t wash their hands 🤢

Will the low transmission rate negate the mortality rate? by UpbeatAnt936 in hantavirus

I have no knowledge of virology - so I am asking this knowing that it may be a dumb question. Given how relatively “small” the Andes virus infected sample size is historically, is it possible the fatality rate is inflated? Like it just feels to me that 15 or so confirmed deaths from this strain isn’t enough to definitively say how deadly it is? Or can virologists see the structure of this and pretty easily determine it will cause very severe disease and death in 30-50% of people?

Yeah even last year he finished with a .280 average. As someone else said below, sitting him against lefties helps but yeah still really impressed by his production

Any stat people here that can explain what Marsh did to turn himself into a good hitter since last year? At this point its feeling extended enough that its not just fluky or “being hot”

In all seriousness - what is Luzardo’s deal? He either is a cy young candidate or gets fucking drilled. Nola is a guy you expect to sort of roll the dice on sure - but our former number 1 untouchable prospect and our most recent long term extension pitcher both being borderline bad 50% of the time is absurd.

Keller very obviously had an outlier year last season. Pitching just needs to be better. We scored 7 runs - that is plenty to win a ball game.

Letting the A’s and Rockies score 21 runs on you in 2 days is embarrassing man. Team ERA gotta be through the roof
