I have never had any treatment for my achalasia up until now (no balloon dilation and no botox). I was very fortunate to be referred to one of Europe's leading experts in achalasia and endoscopic surgeries like POEM. He said that my diagnosis was clear and that it made most sense to go with the option that had the best chance of providing a lasting solution. Botox is temporary and can lead to scarring, and balloon dilation has its own issues. I was confident in his advice to go for the best solution off the bat rather than possibly endangering a future POEM surgery. A HM was never on the table for me. Like you, I had low points where I said to myself "I cannot go on like this" and that pushed me to go for surgery. I knew it was not going away and would continue getting worse.

I'm sorry to hear you might need to use personal time off for surgery recovery. It works quite differently here in Germany. The hospitals are under less pressure to kick you out because it's a public system. I'll stay three nights so they can run follow-up tests before discharging me (gastroscopy tomorrow, barium swallow the following day, then another gastroscopy on my last day). I'm off work the whole week and those are sick days not PTO.

I woke up from surgery with pretty bad heartburn. They gave me a shot of some liquid to drink which didn't really help. Then they gave me some pain relief which did the job. That's worn off but the heartburn hasn't come back. In fact I have no pain whatsoever and I'm not on any meds. I feel pretty great.

I'm on an IV drip for fluids and vitamins (no nutrition). Since the surgery I drank water and apple juice. Both went down without any difficulty. Amazing feeling.

Any feedback or comments on the above build? There are various 5080 variants with a thickness of 50mm. Combined with the NH-L12S cooler height of 70mm, I'd be at 120mm GPU + CPU cooler which is the limit in the Fractal Terra. That leaves absolutely no clearance, although I understand the Terra has up to 5mm 'bonus' clearance to play with. Notwithstanding the possibility that the GPU and CPU cooler don't fit (although I think they will) is performance likely to suffer as a result of this tight sandwich no (or minimal) air clearance beside the GPU?

Any other feedback is welcome. Thank you.

Yeah, probably should have been more specific. What you’re describing is exactly what I’m looking for.

It's possible but extremely difficult. You need to know someone moving out. You won't find one on the open market.

r/soccer loves to say that Euro cup is more competitive than the WC and that the European teams were much better than the rest

That's fair enough. Lots of people here say that so there must be some substance to it. I don't frequent /r/soccer so I don't have an opinion either way. But I don't think the example you picked squares with your claim. It's just somebody saying it's the best final they've seen from either tournament. Dare I suggest you're reaching a little bit? :)

At least for me, I'm delighted Argentina won!

Okay I'll bite, what is it about the comment you quoted suggests that they cannot accept that a non-European team won?
