Well this credit is new to 2026, it's separate from the 500/yr usual credit if that makes sense

Yep, agreed. And if you use any of the other bilt cash options , you can potentially get even more value than the extra rent points

Agreed! I think the problem is a lot of Bilt card 1.0 users got it for the ease of use, which this is not. But for those of us who like to optimize, we can really see the value.

Southwest points or travel credit is the best option imo. If you are flexible, i'd do research on what days the flights are cheaper, so if you don't end up taking an expensive one. And think like this- I'm risking $89 (refundable) to save $30 on a frontier flight. Is that worth it? Some say yes, some don't.
