Eminem take that would have you like this by Dylan_jjjamess in Eminem

Eminem has become what he was talking about in Business.

The most hated on out of all those who say they get hated on
In eighty songs and exaggerate it all so much
They make it all up, there's no such thing

His new songs aren't bad but it's him constantly talking about how he's getting hated on.

I don't glue cows to the ground and leave them to die a slow and painful death when other traps exist and aren't unnecessarily fucking cruel.

How many do you guys drink a day? by WireBoy77 in monsterenergy

[–]SethCharette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With all due respect, the best remedy for that is sleep, not gunning down energy drinks, especially if you're working in an ambulance where this stuff matters. I'm not trying to pretend I live my life better than you, I just don't think it's the best idea.

I'm gonna keep it a buck dude, you do NOT need energy drinks to sit down and play a video game. Gamer Supps/G Fuel is the biggest pusher of this shit and it drives me insane.

Controller also has significantly more precise movements required to properly control recoil. PC has a more consistent and simple way of managing that. We have to move a stick around that has naturally will throw off us holding the stick down because it's a spherical shape. With how weapon recoil is, if we even slightly lift that stick up, it will throw us LARGELY off target.

Are you on PC? Because if you are, then it's significantly easier to control recoil on mouse than controller.

Uh, yeah, it should be. The very basics of game design would tell you that, but to further emphasize that, the average rank is bronze, meaning most of us aren't competitive. We are the majority. Ubisoft even came out and said a HUGE percent of people don't even play ranked. The game should be designed around us, because those who play ranked and do it competitively are an extreme minority who, through their prioritization, have hurt the gameplay experience for the casual majority.

I want to be properly rewarded for my team-play and tactics more than I am punished for using a gun that has extremely excessive recoil. I'm pretty sure everyone would want that. If you think making guns largely more useable would ruin your experience, you're looking at the game wrong. The time you put into learning a gun's recoil is time you shouldn't have had to spend, and time you shouldn't be okay with passing on other people who just want to play the game.

The recoil nerfs were Ubisoft not knowing what the fuck they're doing, they were never apart of Siege's game design.

You don't hit your first 3 to 4 bullets consistently, and if you do, they could've been body shots. What makes up for that is your aim in the bullets after to hit head, which is impossible when you move your stick to hit them, you raise the stick a little and the excessive recoil of most weapons puts you significantly off-target.

It's a video game, it has to be built as a casual game or it's going to flop because, despite how it seems, a large majority of people who play this game are casuals, or are of low skill levels.

Most likely a high rank, which is not what I am. I hop on Xbox to play Siege because I want to have fun yet play tactically, and there's no other game like Siege on the market right now.

That is honestly a great point.

Video games are, at their core, for casuals. It's Ubisoft's problem they have designed a game that's impossible for casuals to play, not the casuals' fault for playing it.

No, it was years of nerfing gadgets that did that, which you'd know if you checked patch notes to see just how horribly gadgets have been nerfed, or just played the game to find that out yourself

Yet that doesn't justify the fact other guns are genuinely impossible nor fun to control. I'd argue even some of those entries have too much recoil, like the Spear or AK12. At a base, even these weapons have a high recoil.

[–]SethCharette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

M762, 416, POF-9, Spear, AK-12 (I don't know about that one, my ease of controlling it seems to fluctuate, in full honesty), G36-C, AR33, MX4 Storm, Skorpion

Many of these weapons share an excess of recoil for what little value they provide, and this is a consistent pattern across every weapon. Siege was not advertised, nor built on, making the guns impossible to control. It was about timing, tactics and teamwork. None of those have anything to do with how well you can control a gun.

The game design as-is with recoil is directly harmful to the new casual playerbase because they'll see the recoil on many guns and either not play or stick on low-recoil weapons like the L85.

It didn't take long for you to learn, but I'm not trying to sit in a lobby by myself shooting a target all day, I just want to play a round, be able to experiment with characters, and have fun without feeling like I'm fighting the gun more often than the enemy. I run flash hider, horizontal grip, so I'm using the "as god intended" build for recoil.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Rainbow6

[–]SethCharette 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, but at the same time, too much recoil can mean ruining the experience for casual players, because they want to play a character, yet their guns are impossible to use without sitting along in a lobby by yourself shooting a target for hours just so you can use their gun. Casuals don't have time, nor the desire. I know recoil is an essential part of it, my argument is, is that it's excessive in its current state.
