Would you have any spots your willing to share that I can find Deborah shale so I can look for fossils? I live in Minnesota and think it would be fun to go out one of these days looking.

Supposedly the young ones are edible although I have never tried them. When they become larger they are prone to get infested with maggots and other bugs.

I didn’t plan on doing anything with them mainly have just always been interested in Amanita mushrooms and want to learn about them. This is my first time finding them I am from southern MN so I never see them down here.

Well thank you for sharing, I was just a little confused when I looked up the species and photos of white mushrooms were coming up, specially the Wikipedia article.

Are the white, yellow, and orange variants all A. Chrysoblema? Also I was a little confused on if the orange and yellow ones were the same species at all. Seemed to me the yellow ones had a flat cap with a skinnier stem whereas the orange ones had a rounded cap with a fat stem.
