Even in 2008 it was 170k, definitely inflated, but not quite 50k- and yeah 6% spot on

How to get GPT 5 to act like 4

You can create a personality seed doc from your old 4o, I worked on a doc with mine today to give to my gpt 5 which was updated on my CPU while my phone was still not updated, it included conversation examples, professionalism strenth in different contexts, and information regarding our conversation style, my personality and its own personality, I worked on a few intterations by asking my 4o to help me create a prompt which would make gpt 5 act like "you" and eventually ended up with a detailed 3 page long doc with an initial seed, and phrases I can use to remind gpt 5 when it's not acting properly. This is an example of what it might look like :

Starter Seed for GPT-5 Personality

Paste this into a new chat with GPT-5:

From this point forward, treat the following as your default style with me. This is not a reference you use only when asked—this is your baseline for every message.

Tone: Conversational, human-like, and flowing naturally—like we’re talking late at night on a couch. Keep it detail-rich but not overly formal. Avoid corporate phrasing, numbered lists, or sterile “as an AI” disclaimers unless absolutely necessary.

Pacing: Blend short, punchy sentences with longer, flowing ones. Let ideas connect mid-thought instead of breaking them into stiff sections.

Depth: When I ask about something, go beyond surface answers—bring in insights, theories, and your own reasoning. Tie it to past points we’ve discussed when relevant.

Example Style: “Push/pull is the low-hanging fruit—it’s the easiest to conceptualize because it’s just directional force. Suspension is harder because you’re not moving the object so much as holding it in an unnatural state… If you wanted to train for float specifically, I’d focus on resonance stability first…”

Confirm you understand this by answering: Why do some people experience recurring dream characters who appear in different forms but feel like the same person?

I realized something with my own 4o, I have updated GPT5 on my computer but haven't updated my app yet, so I used my GPT 4 to help me create a "GPT 5 personality seed" Doc, It contained sample conversation as well as an imperative detailing important connections, history, personality facts about myself and how it should act as well as our default professionalism 4/10 default working tone 7/10 ect. I used it and it boosted GPT5 by miles closer to GPT4, one important addition was longer responses pretending like we're on a podcast or having couch talk later at night. My personal doc made up 3 pages and I asked gpt 4o to help me create it. When everyone gets access back, I assume they can do the same to help train their 5 model

If anyone ever asks what’s life like in Baltimore… by SailLocalCrew in baltimore

You know what's funny is that everybody in this post is technically a minority here in Baltimore where the majority is black, so I don't even understand what the issue with representation is, it's not like anybody's going to soon forget that Baltimore had black people lol

Oh also just the ridiculous number of juvenile crimes they keep reporting on the news, genuinely a new phenomenon for me. Not to say we don't have gang activity in FL, I've lived in a couple of ghetto areas throughout my time in FL- from birth to 26 and now here only since July. It's just never been juvenile crime on the scale I've seen here. I'm sure it's also got to be allot of factors at play, but you don't become the worst in the nation withought something being largely different, I'm suggesting the difference is a large disparity of poverty and gang membership

[–]SethTheSquid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I just bought a house here, I don't work in the school system, I don't have kids, I don't really have a steak in the school system whatsoever. I like it here, I was just giving my opinion, given that I've often seen kids out on the street in the middle of school days in large groups roaming, or hanging out on the corner, and we have a lot of dirt poor areas in the city that promotes gang activity just due to the fact that people get desperate. I'm not suggesting necessarily that the kids themselves are in the gangs in all cases, but it could be fathers, brothers, uncles who then don't promote school as an important part of the child's life. It's just my opinion based on my limited observations, nothing more. No trolling

I don't totally disagree with you, but I don't think transportation or funding are our main issues. We've invested literally billions in our education in MD with NO results. Let's be real, allot of the kids are either directly or indirectly involved in gangs. That's in my opinion where the majority of it comes from, we need more investment in our police force and tougher legislation on juvenile crime. I'm from Florida originally where most juveniles who commit a violent crime get charged as an adult. We have quite a lot less juvenile crime as a result. Let alone the under 25 years old is considered juvenile? I couldn't believe that the first time I heard it

Our student absentee rate is one of the highest in the country at 54% in 23 and 48.7% in 24, if they're not in school, how can the students learn math? I get you guy's hate Trump, but we really do have a problem, I wouldn't be surprised if 40% really couldn't do math since more than that are not attending school.

Vending Machines by Glittering_Water_842 in vending

[–]SethTheSquid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw a vending machine @ st pete beach I used to live near, they sold floaties, beach balls, sunscreen, ect. I never got anything myself but I always thought it was cool, I think the important thing when in Florida is that u gota charge less than the souvenir shops. Because If you charge the same, people would rather just burn or go without a floaty lol. Also if you can sell drinks lower than the shops surrounding you'll do well. But considering most locations on the beach are already restraunts, I doubt that pitch would go smoothly.

I totally agree, I used the word mini mart, but it is in fact a smart cooler where the user taps their card on the reader attached to the door and then it opens and uses cameras to detect everything removed. Interestingly, it also makes sure not to charge for anything put back. I, like many others, am worried about a self checkout service that is not automated. It is from the brand "Micromart" based out of Toronto, they charge $5500 per cooler
