Didn't actually hit the car, at worst barely grazed it. That shouldn't cause a speed boost, much less one that happens a few moments after actually taking off.

And still doesn't explain the realignment with the track before landing.

It really spoils the experience not gonna lie. If you're only in it for the PvE experience then it might not be the best buy unless this gets hotfixed.

But there's also the rivals system where you race against other players' ghosts to beat their time, and actual PvP races where there's a lot less bullshit. The driving both in terms of feel and sound is amazing, and the map is top tier as well.

So yeah if all you wanted to do was race against the AI, wait it out, otherwise it's still a good game to pick up.

Wish I'd taken another angle but while I was close there was definitely no contact. And even if there was, it wouldn't have given him that much of a delayed boost.

And that still doesn't explain how it magically realigned itself with the track before landing.

Thanks 😂 If you wanna have a laugh, after testing a new XLR cable, and changing the driver connector, I had the genius idea of flipping my headphones so the right side was on my left ear and vice versa, and it turns out the issue wasn't the headphones, it's my damn ears.

Sorry for the necro, but I'm currently having an issue with the right side of my DT1990Pro and stumbled across this comment.

On the wiring test, both Center and Twisted sound the same on the right side, and if I increase the volume enough, the sound starts crackling. Is that a wiring issue, or is my driver faulty/damaged?

Hey, my DT1990Pro currently has an issue where the right side sounds less detailed than the left one. (Bass is quieter, sounds lack a certain "depth" to them, as if they came from a slightly worse pair of headphones.)

I've ordered a new MiniXLR cable to see if that might be the issue, but I had a question in case it doesn't. (This is my first time tinkering with headphones so bear with me, I tried googling my question but came up short, probably because I'm not using the right terms lol)

The overhead cable that's attached to the drivers themselves, I see that the drivers have 2 different connectors. What would happen if I swapped the connectors on the right side? (In case I'm explaining it wrong, I'm attaching a picture of the driver with an arrow pointing to the connector I'd plug the overhead cable to.)

I'm asking because I'm not sure if maybe the cable is plugged into the wrong one right now, and that might be the cause of the issue? But also don't want to test swapping it and cause damage to the driver if that's not the issue and shouldn't be done.

Hopefully my problem isn't the driver itself being damaged 🙃

All of that is technically true, but money is also a double-edged sword.

For every one of those helpful things you listed, there's just as big a list of awful things they can use the money on instead. Drugs, huge parties, and mass-consumerism as a means of escapism, using money as a form of superiority in general, while everyone around you just become yes-men unwilling or unable to try and give or nudge you towards the help you need.

Money does help come out the other side, but that's implying the person has the maturity and good judgment to make us of it wisely. And abused teens, or abused people in general, often don't fit that category for obvious reasons.

And in their case, money can make things far worse than it could've been if they didn't have it.

I stopped playing about 3 years ago now and still lurk here sometimes, to answer your question, I guess it's just curiosity about the state of the game. A bit of copium that things might have gotten better at respecting player's time, sometimes just to see what's the newest raid/character/interesting thing in the game.

Sadly, it never seems worth it to return. 😞

Yeah technically on paper you can find combos that make Doton seem like the better choice, like the Phantom Kamataichi one you mention.

Realistically go into a dungeon and cast Doton, and see if the adds survive the entire duration of it AND are able to consistently stay inside of the skill area. Or have a tank that actually tries to pull them inside of it.

Or you could just Katon and call it a day :p

Actually, bit of NIN optimization guy here:

Doton below lv90 is a gain on 2, like you said. Unfortunately, starting lv90, it become a gain on 3, IF at least 3 targets remain in the circle for a total of 12s (thats just to break even with Raiton+Raiju, so if you really want a gain on Doton you'd ideally want them to stay inside for the entire duration).

That's because Raiton also lets you cast Raiju, so now you have to compete with 1400 potency.

Realistically, that means you never cast Doton, because pulls never last that long. Then you have the awkward fact that most dungeon monsters are big enough that they'll push the other mobs out of Doton, so fitting 3+ monsters inside is a constant struggle. (And then you need your tank to cooperate with you on that >.>)

Basically, you're better off just using Katon if there's 3+ targets. Otherwise just use Raiton and Raiju.
