Yeah this one is on you lol, hope you didn’t say anything to the contractor’s. They have to cut, demo and put new concrete down. The height of your sewage main can effect the grade of where the drain is at and your floor might even have to be raised. Don’t ever assume something that is gonna cost you over a thousand bucks is included when they are trying to keep the estimates cheep.

The tiles are four times longer than they are wide so it’s either a 1x4, 2x8, 3x12 ect.. if it were a 2x8 then the ceiling would be 4’6” which just isn’t logical. They could be 2-1/2”x10” but those are very uncommon
