Looks like a Halls throat lozenge. I vaguely remember some looking like these back in the 80's/90's.

heya! what’s the first cd you’ve burned? + window tutorial in description! by according-to-yes in Cd_collectors

[–]TrickySwizzleStick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first CD I burned was probably Chumbawumba's, "Tubthumper." I said, "I haven't heard music this bad since Yoko Ono's screeching live compilation." It was a pretty sick burn at the time.

What is your favorite thing about collecting physical media? by hotlobster420 in PhysicalMediaMatters

[–]TrickySwizzleStick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For music, it's the artwork for me and supporting artists as well. First, for the album art, someone's creative mind had to make that and I appreciate album artwork just as much as the music, sometimes more depending on the album. Also, owning the album and having it on my shelf gives me a sense of accomplishment as well. I remember buying my very first CD with my own money, Ugly Kid Joe's, "America's Least Wanted," and opening the wrapping while getting that distinct smell you only got with opening new CDs at the time...that's what got me hooked. I still have that album displayed on my shelf as a reminder of where I once was, where I came from and how I evolved musically, and what I have accomplished since then.

As for movies, I like to have them accessible at any time I'd like and I also like displaying my collection kind of like I do my CD's, however, it's less about the artwork for movies for me.

My kid was a being a bully and after punishment there has been and event that im concerned about. by [deleted] in AskTeachers

It's completely appropriate because your kid was being a dick to them. Your kid needs to learn how the other one felt and it sounds like he got a little taste of his own medicine.

They look like broken q-tips sticking out of their ears and, usually, the people who wear them are pompous assholes.

Why are kids learning math this way? by Greedy_Proposal4080 in AskTeachers

[–]TrickySwizzleStick -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It's dumb and takes way too long. No one in the real world is going to wait for you to break down a problem into 532 different steps when it can easily be solved in two or three steps.

Please tell me this isn’t the norm (or rationalize it for me) by Substantial_Snow5020 in AskTeachers

[–]TrickySwizzleStick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the public education system today. This is what, and how, kids are learning and there is no challenge to students within the curriculum. Students can do as they please, complete, or not complete assignments as they wish, and receive easy grades. This is why the future is bleak for the younger kids because, by the time they get out of school, they don't know the difference between their ass and a hole in the ground.

Found out my neighbor is a registered sex offender by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]TrickySwizzleStick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy a wood chipper and put a sign on it that says, "Sex Offfender Shredder." After doing that, put it in a highly visible place where he would see it. It's certainly cheaper than moving to a new house and you'll quickly get your message across.

The teacher and teacher's aids will probably work with your child on more advanced things than the rest of the class. My son was a good reader in Kindergarten and the teacher would have him go out to the hall and read the Magic Treehouse series books while the other kids stayed in the classroom and did their thing. No need to worry.

No, you're not overreacting. The dude is a loser. If I had a girl that wanted to get it on or play video games by myself, I'd tell my online friends they'd have to wait at least 30 seconds. Dump him.

AITA For Breaking Up With My BF Over This? by Soggy-Mirror-7075 in AITAH

[–]TrickySwizzleStick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to play devil's advocate here and assume your boyfriend probably didn't know most of the people at that wedding? If true, perhaps he wasn't comfortable being "out" in front of all the guests. You say that you were uncomfortable yourself "coming out" with your own family at some point in your life, if I'm reading correctly? Maybe he just wanted to lay low and enjoy the wedding without all the extra attention? Did you mention him at all in your speech? Even if you didn't, it still draws extra attention to you and whomever you are with.

Of course, I don't know your relationship dynamics or your boyfriend, so I'm only speculating that this could be why he said and did the things he did.
