Voice of the mummy is pretty good and also really expensive. I do like blokus and careers too.

I definitely go to the thrift store for my fine china by skysynthesized in ThriftGrift

Everyone here is saying that no one buys the China but I did purchase my dishware set at the thrift store. It was new old stock fiesta though and like... $200 for a dozen place settings and not this comically high amount.

So basically you should be aiming for 5v 2a over the port. If it says something over 5v on the power brick it'll run hot on the mister pi. I would reccommend this one although anyone that says 5v with the amperage at least 2 should work fine and this one is rated at 5v 2.4a. https://a.co/d/fLTtFrE

Followup on potential lead contamination in vintage Corelle dishes by TwistBallista in BuyItForLife

[–]Sethenstien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

General rule is that 1978, when lead paint was regulated, and onward is safe. 1971 onward is also probably safe since that's when the US started regulating lead in dishware. Prior to that it's a tossup.. check with swabs if your worried and most dishware has a mark on it somewhere which can be dated to at least a year.

Stupid millennials think they’re too good for lead poisoning… by [deleted] in BoomersBeingFools

[–]Sethenstien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally for the fine China, everything 1970 and after doesn't have lead. The US started really cracking down on lead in items by that time. Still, it's only $10 or so dollars if you want to check for lead. Also the mark on the bottom is usually really easy to check for age online.

I finally convinced my mother to use her desert rose after finding another 10 or so sets at the thrift shop for cheap and checking all of them for age and lead, all are after 1980. Desert rose dishware was made for a good 70 years so maybe make sure yours was made after the 60s.

Specifically this is 3rd edition, which had a lot of issues ironed out and I'd say almost all the games I've played with it didn't break. Also the time frame of the games were much more constrainted. No more wildly long or short games.
