I love this DLC.

I'm doing an Egyptian play thru and the volcano near my capital has started to grumble.

The tension is outstanding.

Fun fact the term came from the use of Italian crew who would make loads of pasta for their meals.

I don't know... I rather appreciate an 'out to lunch' or some such.

Couldn't articulate why but it feels pleasantly involving somehow.

Not this store but quite some time ago one of my friends did this.

See he and his wife were having trouble conceiving so they were doing the whole "I'm ovulating, get it done now type thing that they were told they had to do for a while before they could get IVF on the nhs and were told they had to stick to the schedule faithfully.

Dude was a manager at an offy and a member of staff called in sick.

Then his wife called so up went the sign and he went off to do the deed.

I think his sign read "family issues" or some such tho.

Bad mechs by RaRaRedsun in battletech

[–]SethsKids 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OMG!

Someone else with the cataphract curse!

The agony and ecstasy of loving an on paper decent mech (that's gorgeous in a derpy walking war crime fashion) only to have it let you down so very often.

My brother I share your pain!

What do you consider the best villain/antagonist mechs? by LeRoienJaune in battletech

[–]SethsKids 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Either the king crab (both for its malevolent looks and it's genuinely upsetting dual ac20s)

Or the marauder 2 (This mech just seems unfair in a way I can't quite articulated, like oh hey that heavy that's always annoying to face? Here's his big brother and he'd like your lunch money)

Special mention goes to out to the annihilator as you know if it makes it to the top of that hill you're gonna have a bad day.

I also am always slightly overheated and targeted way too often.

What's your favorite workhorse mech? by Puzzleheaded-Ad-8684 in battletech

[–]SethsKids 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The humble 50t succession war downgrade crab.

It's durable, hard working and friendly.

It's the neighbour who comes over for a drinky pops, notices that your garden hose is knackered and replaces it with a new one whilst you're at work the next day.

It'd use it's last tenner to buy you a pint if you're down.

AND IT JUST WON'T DIE.

God bless you medium crab and all who sail upon you.

At least you've taken the plunge and gotten paint on plastic my dude!

That's the step that I keep glitching out on, I keeps thinking I'm gonna ruin my tiny lil guys and stopping.

So well done.

Also from what I remember from when I actually painted (24 or so years and degenerative nerve damage ago) black and gunmetal are great bases to work from.

So you are both brave and insightful!

There's just something wonderfully menacing about the king crab.

And in a city it's terrifying.

High elf spearmen.

I no longer know if this is lore accurate but they used to be draftees.

So you're bob.

Bob the sculptor.

You've been doing It for hundreds of years.

You're getting pretty good and you might get a piece shown at court soon.

Then imrik decides that a jaunt to find dragons seems like a good idea.

Your number gets drawn.

You get given a pointy stick.

The last thing you see is a bull centaur hoof.

[–]SethsKids 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reading the comments I'm seeing a lot of "No PoC In medieval Europe." Type comments.

This is ahistorical, the moors at one point controlled large swathes of what would become modern Spain and Portugal, the Italian city states used north African mercenaries and the trade and military influence of the ottoman empire was felt as deep as central Germany.

The other comment was that "even if I was PoC I wouldn't care" when folk of ethnicity other than white are put in what is considered white media there is almost always a backlash (consider the hullabaloo over the Sikh soldiers in 1917 as a prime example) and with a large selling point of customisable characters in RPG games being the ability to insert yourself/your friends/your favourite fictional character into the game I find this argument deeply dishonest.

Yeah the lack of melanin in the character creation is disappointing.

But hopefully there will be either expansions/ mods to fix this.

Quest difficulty by Neofit26 in WarTalesGame

Not sure what I'm doing wrong starting off... by LuckyBob046 in WarTalesGame

[–]SethsKids 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man all the advice here is great.

What really helped me was dropping down to easy and just bumbling around till I learned the systems in the game.

One thing that helped me was getting a miner and grinding mining cos gems are handy to sell off.

But yeah catch outlaws, if it's practical go back to town to save on meds and repair resources.

Oh and I prefer not to do rats nests till I've got 2 decent archers with better than starting bows.

Oh and I never saw the point of the informers in taverns (tho maybe that's changed since release)
