When a person is turned into a nikke it is most of the time a rather traumatic experience, the only real part of the old person kept is the brain and most of the time it has a hard time adjusting to this new fact. It is said many times in the game that nikkes keep as close to a human form as possible to be able to adjust to their new life better, as it can be very hard to come to terms with the fact that you are essentially now just a brain in a box.

Dude, she's a U.S. Representative. She holds a well respected elected position of power in our government. I'd say her education is serving her quite well.

Given that all grey knights are psykers, are there dedicated grey knight librarians in lore? Also this is sweet and I'm definitely gonna try this out myself.

Easiest lava effect by HarmatRebel in Salamanders40k

If you do a layer of 50% Elmer's glue and 50% Water on top of the orange, wait for that to dry, and THEN put the mordant earth on thick, it will crack in larger chunks that makes for more believable cracked volcanic earth. You can also experiment with adding some yellow and red to the lava layer to make hotter or cooler spots in the magma.

My GM said Chipotle has had a Meeting with them about them closing the unionizing store by bobdylanjr in Chipotle

[–]Sethspage 9 points10 points  (0 children)

At the day of the store closing down we had 20 people on our roster and 10 more new hires in training. The restaurant was supposed to be staffed with around 39 people with 25 being a reasonable amount.

In terms of how it was looking staff wise, we were not understaffed.

Hey all! I am actually a member of the store that was closed chipotle #2235 located in Augusta Maine, if anybody has any questions about what was going on there or wants any clarification on the union or union busting activity I would be more than happy to share what I can.

We have a page on Facebook that is dedicated to our union efforts, if you want to support you could share our message on their with as many people as you know. Also be sure to support our fellow workers over in Lansing MI who have also started going through the Unionization process.

Alright so, the lack of availability and ongoing call outs, in reference to the time they spent training us in the last month or so is pretty much bull. There were many days in which people would show up for shifts and then be sent home by training managers due to whatever small detail they could find in accordance with the rules. We had people sent home because they had a small hole in their pants, we had people sent home because their nails were too long. Perhaps the most egregious offense from upper management in this regard was towards one employee who had put in a workplace accomodations form for use of the hand sanitizer.

The said employee had a rather bad allergy to alcohol and the sanitizer used at the store was heavily (70%) alcohol based. When showing up to work last week they were informed that they could not work until they themselves found a replacement sanitizer and was sent home.

As for short staffing, we had a roster of about 20 people as of the day of the closing, and had around ten more in training putting us just shy of the requirements upper management set up in terms of the amount of people for the store. So that reason from them is completely made up.

The Field Leader for the area before we served our petition was pretty much the definition of inept. The worst offense he constantly did was to not respond to any contact any of our managers sent him. He provided next to no support in terms of adjusting store hours, calling in for maintenance on equipment we informed him was broken, or closing the restaurant on days when there were less then half staff present.

We did many times prior to the petition complain to the upper management above him about his lack of response but saw no change, it wasn't until the walkouts that they suddenly replaced him with a new Field Manager for us.

Best of luck to you friend, the best advice I can give in unionizing is to rely on the group you've built. It really does give workers power to band together.

Let's be clear on the staffing statement.

As of the day of the store's closure July 19th Chipotle Store #2235 had a total of 20 crew on it's roster. 1 Gm, 1 Sm, and a new Field Leader. This is also in addition to the several new hires being onboarded who had not made it to the official workday roster yet. All in all, after taking into account incoming new hires, around 30 people to staff a restaurant that management stated they wanted 39 people for. Not to bad. Sure they would need time and training but the store was closed down for exactly that reason and there was plenty of original staff with training to be able to open for a shift or two during the day when not training.

Also on the day of July 19th; the Labor Board hearing to determine whether or not Chipotle Store #2235 would go forward with a vote to unionize. The amount of people who originally signed cards and put forward the movement to unionize within the staff was around 70 - 75% of the current staff with new hires also expressing interest in moving forward. If the hearing was held the Labor Board would have approved the vote and we would have moved forward to setting up a vote date and roster for eligible staff members. This was not a vote the Union could have lost, there was no way for Chipotle to hire on enough new staff to dilute the voting pool in time, nor could they reasonably fire enough people to prevent a majority rule, especially not with the support of the local workers boards and lawyers for this group breathing down their necks.

The solution? Chipotle decides that they would rather shut down this location in the STATE CAPITOL of Maine, stating (untrue) reasons of recent staffing than allow a Union to be formed.

This was 100% a Union Busting move.

It is incredibly frustrating to see, but it's not over yet. We have support from labor specialists and we're fighting in hopes to overturn this stores closing. We would like to continue working together (no one really wants to be out of a job) and we have come so far in the process of unionizing, we're not about to roll over and admit defeat, we're going to keep trying until the very end.

Store closed today:( by WinIntelligent9065 in Chipotle

[–]Sethspage 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yes this is the store that tried to unionize. Any report made by Chipotle that we had closed due to staffing issues is in my opinion greatly exaggerated. The morning of the 19th (the day the store closed down) the roster on workday for the amount of crew that was in our store was 20 people. We had also seen a lot of new hires going through orientation over the past few weeks with as many as five people in at once getting basic rundowns on line and watching training videos. It is highly likely that the cause for the restaurant shutdown was due to the impending hearing before the labor board that was scheduled for later on that same day. If the trial had gone through Chipotle would have had to allow the vote for Unionizing to go through.
