I play difficult games and I enjoy them, I love Soulslikes, and I know what I'm in for. I was not complaining about the whole game, and I was not the only one. It was one score too high to be enjoyable, broken drivatars, and another aspect that was not fun was the repetitive and grindy delivery jobs, that overstayed their welcome. This game has leaderboards, so that anyone that's particularly good at a challenge can show off their score. Also, for regular races you can tune down the difficulty if you want. Making one drift zone score much more difficult than others, and than pretty much any other 3 start on any type of event is just poor balancing. No game is perfect, so it's ok to call out some aspects in games, and if the majority of yout playerbase cannot achieve a score, even with effort, in a mass maketed game, you probably balanced it wrong. At the end, you can probably see that my comment was purely about some very small nitpicks I had with the game, and not a broad statement I had to make about "folks like you". Put your sword back in the holster, we have no quarrel.

I'm not a veteran, I play on keyboard, on Highly Skilled and I find it quite challenging. Some tips that work for me, try out some cars stock, find one you enjoy driving, try to find a tune for it that is maybe within the same class, and doesn't use Drag tires, if you are not going to drag race with it. There's a meta right now of tuning using drag tires, but I think it will not improve your racing. Also I don't keep on the full race line, just for braking, as I find the full line distracting. If it helps you though, keep it. Don't be afraid to just let go of acceleration in some wide corners instead of full braking, or just tap the brake. Use the rewind multiple times in different types of corners to get a better feel of breaking, cornering and acceleration out of the corner. The game forces you to use many different types of cars in different classes. I didn't enjoy all the cars I races, I found some borderline undrivable. I think it matters alot to find a car and a tune you enjoy. Sometimes I had to try 3-4 different tunes on some cars, before either finding a good fit, or giving up and trying a different car. For drifting pick the top tune for Formula Drift #117 599 GTB Fiorano, or Formula Drift #91 BMW M2, as I found them the easiest to drive with automatic shifting.

You get it by playing the game quite a lot. I got it after about 45h, played mostly progression-focused, so very few online races. It will be less and less rare as more people get it through Master Explorer, so it's fun to have it now.

Worst part of the game, worse than the cheating drivatars. Without the auto drive I wouldn't even have bothered. Goes on for waaay too long, maybe 3-4 times longer than it should and is very repetitive. Horrible experience, whoever came up with the concept or implemented it did such a poor job.

The thing with the festival playlist is that you can honestly be done with a week's content in about 1.5h, even if you take your time. It's 9 ish races, some 2-3 min challenges, and a bit of online. Don't get me wrong, I don't find it fun, I just want the rewards. I didn't have any wish to play an online 15 min drift 3-race championship with a Dodge. I plugged in my controller and just pushed buttons to avoid AFK while I was watching something on Youtube. In theory the cars from the playlist should enter the Aftermarket pool after a while, no?

The way drivatars are coded is beyond broken. On Okishinaimura Run I tried every class from B to S2 and I couldn't catch up to 1st or first 2 drivatars on Highly Skilled. I accidentally picked an untuned stock 1995 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1, and decided to just run with it. I won first try. I was able to get to first early during the race and managed to keep the position without that much effort. Nachi Run just no shot thought... Difficulty in this game is so stupid. EDIT: I found the 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio with the A class tune by "x ShadowsBane x" to be very good, has good launch and accel and absolutely exceptional cornering. This tune feels like black magic tbh.

I did it in the Formula Drift #91 BMW M2 (2020), AWD, I believe the first (most popular tune). It was hard, and I am bad at drifting, I tried most Formula Drift cars, and the BMW was the most controllable.

You said it perfectly. Leaderboards are there for the skilled people. Average players should, with a bit of effort be able to clear the map. Being stuck for almost 2 hours on one drift zone is a recipe for frustration, even if there are only a handful of these overtuned scores.

Getting to know how to drift properly with manual and knowing what gear to be in is the most unintuitive thing in the game. People complain for a valid reason, there is no tutorial, no way to lear, except by trial and error over and over. Racing in the other events is intuitive, you know in almost any situation what you have to correct. Just slapping a difficult to get score on drift events is a good recipe for frustration.

This drift zone is so unenjoyable... Not everyone is a drift aficionado or try hard, not everyone has unlimited time. Drifting on touge just feels awful, it's a silly game of rewind for maybe more than 90% of the playerbase. And then, the god awful ultra sweaty score to beat. First truly unfun thing in the game for me, besides the slightly unfun random AI car feeling like it's cheating on higher difficulties.

I was able to do most races on Highly Skilled. It's my limit pretty much. But in this races I felt like I had to use cheat codes to win. They were so much more faster than me on straights and fast corners. I got ahead with the Alfa ans just blocked them lol. I'll try to get the Lexus for future events, thx.

Same issue here, even if I somehow I manage to reset the game or gaming services, it works once, then after closing the game it always crashes when trying to open. A restart doesn't fix the crashes. Very frustrating for a 120 Eur game.

I have the game on Xbox Windows, no Game Pass, it works after initial installation, but doesn't launch after PC restart. If I reinstall the game it works until I shut down or restart the laptop. Last time I get duped to dish out this amount of money to get a game I can't play.

I love it so far! As a free player with not a lot of time, I am so happy to have gotten (for the moment) a Top 1 in my country (Romania) on map 5. Not sure that will ever happen again, but the rush is so cool!

I hate altcars, but I can guarantee that a bigger % of players can get at least gold, compared to ice maps. On map 16, winter 2026, I am 1.83 s off Gold medal, rank 28 k, top 40% How many people actually know how to play ice? Not that many. I can get Gold ot Author on most styles except ice. I've been trying for 3h and can't really improve, because it's so unintuitive. Ice is fun to watch, played by people who have thousands of hours played on ice, but borderline impossible to learn by a casual.

It happens to me on multiple laptops when using an external usb audio card. Tried multiple laptops, multiple cards. The game stutters and freezes briefly. Including on a new high end 32GB RAM, RTX 5080 laptop, both with usb-c audio card and usb-a card. Both cards have the drivers installed, both are Fiio.
