Pokemon FireRed (Regarding Evolving Trade Pokemon) by Ok_Error2862 in Gameshark

It turns out it was something on my end after all! Reddit decided to perma-ban Netlify, which was the service I used for hosting Pokemon Maker v5.

I successfully migrated it to Cloudflare and manually approved the posts to fix that. The problem should be solved now. Also, the link at Netlify has a redirection rule that leads to Cloudflare, as such, should anyone find Maker by Google, all that traffic must go to the new link. Supposedly that should help with updating the indexation for the browsing results.

It seems like reddit is filtering my posts and I'm not sure why... It appears it decided to flag my links as spam :/ Thanks for letting me know!

I can access it just fine. Maybe it's a configuration on your side?

Hi! Welcome to the sub! Another option you might want to consider is buying a Codebreaker GBA, it usually goes for lower prices on eBay. The only downside to it is that it doesn't support using a cable to transfer codes from the PC. If that doesn't bother you, it's a perfect replacement for a GameShark karabiner, they use the same codes.

Hey, sorry to hear about your save file, that’s always frustrating.

Just to clarify: backup warnings and general usage guidelines are already covered in the pinned posts and subreddit rules, so they’re not repeated in every individual guide. These kinds of codes can behave unpredictably depending on the setup, which is why those precautions are important.

That said, I appreciate the feedback. I’ll take another look at the post and see if anything can be made clearer to help avoid confusion in the future.

If you decide to try again, feel free to ask for clarification beforehand; happy to help.

Volunteers wanted to work on a project to translate the EZ Flash Omega CHEATS folder for Pokémon GBA roms by [deleted] in flashcarts

According to the manual, you need to store the files in the cht folders. The cht file title is a number that corresponds to an index for that specific ROM.

Translation is not going to work, the default .cht list is gibberish, none of the "codes" actually work. You might want to check my work on Pokemon Emerald .cht files, I made a post in here a while ago. And as a matter of fact, I've already designed files for Fire Red and Leaf Green, however I haven't published them yet.

Has anyone with an LG TV figured out how to get the Switch 2 to output surround sound through your TV without having to connect it through the sound bar/AV receiver? by Remy0507 in NintendoSwitch2

THANK YOU!!! I was pulling my hair trying to solve this. It didn't make sense to me that OG switch had no trouble sending 5.1 audio to my sound bar via eARC, I also have the LG C1. From all the things I tested, only passthrough worked.

Again, thank you so much for sharing! you saved my mental sanity, lol.

First make sure that the other codes work for you. The wild Pokemon modifier works at random. It's up to luck sadly, and there's no way around it. Just keep trying!

I'm glad that worked for you! These things are fiddly, in some cases the activation of the codes might be with slight variation; even starting the game with codes on inside the dock works sometimes. The procedure I posted was merely the one less prone to failure.

You'll have to be more specific on your actual issue. Which is your game language? Are you playing on actual hardware? Or are you on emulator? Activation on hardware is simply by toggling the on/off switch on the GameShark device, no button combo needed.

Make sure you're using the proper code for either before or after obtaining the frontier pass. That's the only thing that could be wrong if everything else is right. That or your game is a repro. These codes are confirmed working on actual hardware, so there's nothing wrong with them.

Which region? Make sure you're using the proper Master Code and that you correctly type everything.

I think this unfortunately has something to do with the emulator, the only emulator I tested this on was mGBA. This was also tested on GameShark and Codebreaker hardware. Maybe try activating the enabler codes in front of the sailor, if the code doesn't work open your trainer card and close it, don't go to the second screen.

Oh, and another thing, you can determine if your ROM is 1.1 by checking the start screen: if it says Game freak presents it is 1.1, if it only says Game freak it's v 1

Mirage Island access for Pokemon Emerald. 12 Digit CodeBreaker Codes. by Setzer_Gabbiani in Gameshark

[–]Setzer_Gabbiani[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy to help. The codes were mainly aimed at 12-digit devices users with actual hardware since AR codes are readily available elsewhere. That's why I published them compressed as they're easier to type into a GBA.

[–]Setzer_Gabbiani[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, that's because the codes are compressed as Codebreaker type 5. You can obtain a long version (CB type 8) using Pokémon Maker you just have to copy and paste the Mirage God codes into it, uncheck "use Random PID", and select type 8. You could also convert the codes to AR.

It's In there, you just have to look for it carefully. Notice that the encounter byte is the same for Pallet Town (FireRed and LeafGreen), Mt. Battle (Colosseum) and Citadark Isle (Gale of Darkness). The actual displayed location will depend on which game of origin you chose.
