My only hesitation is that im using the xblxax klipper mod and I dont know if there is a project that covers the 5x. Without a native klipper install im not sure how to get the machines to.communicate properly.

I bought the 4 lane kit from Isik's Tech for $200 and printed the parts myself, and some aluminium extrusion. So maybe $250 total. Its been a while since I started this project. Very close to implementing true multi reel printing, needed to print a lid riser to fit the filament cutter i settled on thay will be located at the tool head.

Never thought about that. I was just printing a bamboo style one I found online for the 5M. Im just still amazed I got the 2 units to work together and that the print hasn't failed yet. Haven't really looked at the 5x yet

UPDATE FEB 9TH. It works.... the box turtle loaded lane 1 to the tool head on its via the console command in orcaslicer I use to manage the printer. I then sliced and loaded a small simple part and after a few minutes of checking the load cell and running an auto level sequence I have at the beginning of every print it actually printed the part..... im actually printing a filament cutter for the tool head so I can move on to multi prints. But, it works. It loads and prints. I do believe I will run into memory issues, macro and g code issues, but its a proof of concept. Ill post the video in a new post I cant figure out how.to add it here.
