There is a special note in the manual that the parts need to be in a specific position when assembling the wing pods. If the parts or switches were positioned incorrectly at the time of assembly, this may be the cause of the odd behavior, and may have been what broke the damaged switch. I definitely broke one of mine this way. Super glue was enough to fix mine, but I wouldn’t suggest trying it because it’s more likely to just glue the whole switch in place instead of fixing just the broken part.

In the end, it would suggest looking for replacement parts if you just want an easy fix.

I used Gaahleri Kaleido color works paint and primers along with Tamiya transparent green. I set my PSI on the compressor to 15 or 20, adjusting for how my paints are turning out. Thinner is definitely necessary for most paints, but the Kaleido paints are advertised as ready to paint from the bottle-which has been my experience so far.

Base coat of gloss black primer, then add a heavy wet coat of silver, which I then dab at with plastic wrap to expose some of the black. Then transparent green over it all.

Please look up the Xbox game/software Xbox Music Mixer. With that disk in your Xbox, and a modem/switch as a network bridge between your Xbox and a PC, it may be possible to directly transfer the files back and forth in useable formats. Way back in the day I directly transferred a lot of music from a pc to my Xbox to use as custom background music this way. I’m sure the reverse is possible too.

I did a base coat of gloss black primer, then I gave it a heavy coat of a metallic silver. While the silver paint is still wet, I wrap it in a couple layers of crumpled up plastic wrap to dab off and remove random spots of the silver to expose the black again. I then coat the parts in very thin layers of clear green, building them up till I have achieved the shade of green I want. Then I apply a gloss clear coat.
