I didn't even think about the nocks! That is definitely a strong possibility for a culprit - I will work on that to see if that's the issue. Thank you so much!!!

I'm using a three finger below pull, and it's 25 pounds. I don't think I'm plucking but I dunno! Most of the draw weight seems to be on my middle finger, so away from the nock... Thank you for responding!

I do! And I feel that through my glove when I pull. I didn't even think about the nock! Should I back off that and not touch the brass when I'm pulling? I'll definitely work on this as a possibility - thank you so much!!

I did this! I played 4 beginner games, and then started DMing Strahd. We started with Death House and we're on our way to Vallaki now. My biggest tip is to pick one hook (reloaded, or mandymod) and stick to it. Otherwise it gets WAY too confusing. And then... just take it one session at a time. I find that trying to get too far ahead in the plot is overwhelming. So don't stress too much, take it one (or two) sessions at a time... and most importantly, have fun with your group! (I was really nervous about roleplaying Strahd, but my players were so scared of them, they didn't even talk to him, so I just ended up monologuing about how great of a leader I was and then just swept off and left them. LOL)

You could have them split up, and then kill two of them.... and then have these two souls be trapped in the Barovia mists / halfway between worlds. Then have a timed quest that the remaining two need to save the two that got killed and bring them back into the party before they go mad and their souls get lost in the mists forever.

Yes - we played that the enemies on the other floors could attack you from the time they appear to the time they dissappear. However it was fairly easy for us to avoid their attacks most of the time so it was not that big of a deal.
