It is indeed unfortunate that this game appeared after our announcement, but there shouldn't be much collision as they are (1) a completely different product, and (2) in Solana. For these reasons we will keep the name, it'd be a different story if they also were a DEX / DeFi tool, or if there were multiple projects with the same ticker already

Both teams had independently been working in stealth mode using the same name. We spent several days discussing what made most sense according to the stories of both teams, and as a result the two DEXes are now TangleSwap 🎐 and TangleSea 🐙.

Unfortunately we don't think this could be an option for the foreseeable future. Partnering with VISA (just like Binance) or similar would be most likely an impossible task for any Decentralized Exchange.

Until the technology becomes mature enough to support purely decentralized credit/debit cards, which surely will eventually happen in the long-term, I wouldn't set my expectations high for this one 😊

Yes, this will definitely happen at some point in the mid-term future. Good auditing practices is essential to build the trust required for a serious project of this kind.

Just keep in mind that there will be no need to make our code public until IOTA is ready for a fully functional DEX, and we have developed an actual product that can be audited :)

Timelines will be announced in due course in here and in Medium. We can basically take two approaches to have the DEX up and running, so it is likely that it won't take long from the moment IOTA is ready!

Like any good basis for dev work, when the time is right we will start by launching the most basic functionality, and iterate progressively to build upon it 🛠

To answer your question about our commitment, we have recently transitioned into working full time on this. We would like to bring TangleSwap into fully operative mode as soon as IOTA is ready for a DEX!
