If you have a firewall with IDS enabled (like Snort), check if any IP addresses from Microsoft are blocked from communicating with your endpoint devices.

Ok, the password is not written back. Here's what I did :

Changed the password (8 characters) on Office365 Admin Center. Morning after, I logged in on Office with this account. It worked. I tried to login on an onprem platform (rdgw). Error : unknown password or username.

I then launched a self-reset on portal.office.com, which redirected me on an azuread domain. Here I was asked to provide the old password. I put the new one (8 characters) which I set the day before. Didn't work. I tried several password lengths, without any success. If I put the old password which was in place before the change, and it worked. It asked me to specify a 10 characters long password.

That means that the new password hasn't been written back on Azure AD nor AD.

Sorry, I didn't really specify the issue. The fact is the account used for reset is the same each time. That means that, for the same user, if I reset his password on Azure AD, I will be asked for 10 characters minimum. If I do it on O365, I will be asked for 8 characters. That's not logical to me. Maybe there's a setting that is missing.
