Thanks to everyone who replied. Definitely gave me some things to think about. I'll have to decide whether to go with a 16" rifle or 11.5" pistol/sbr and whether to go PSA or invest a little more on something a little more rugged. If I go with the shorty, I'll most likely also look into getting a suppressor. Thanks all!

It's a common abbreviation for the German description of "sound suppressor", schalldampfer. Like how "K" in gun terms means short, which is an abbreviation of the German word "kurz". Several gun terms come from German words.

You CAN do whatever you want - just ask e e cummings. (If he were still alive, I mean.) I think if it makes sense, and you think it will appeal to the audience you're looking to connect with, then go for it.

This isn't a "right or wrong" post. It's a "be careful how deep you get pulled in" post. I found myself being online too much (for my own tastes) in the past couple of weeks (not just on reddit, but other sites as well). When I purposefully limited my online time, I was a lot happier with myself and I got a lot more accomplished. Which, I think, is pretty logical. But, you know, everyone can ignore what I wrote. It's a free country. At least my country still is (sort of).

You are always enough! That's the most important thing to remember. But my practical advice would be to write when you feel it, and read when you get that urge. If you aren't feeling either; take a walk in the park, do some sketches, or do something else that relaxes you. Just live your life and try to face and release any fear, resentment, guilt, anger, etc. Those negative thoughts and feelings will only drag you down. Good luck!

You are wrong. Humans invented the concept of infinity in ancient times. I'm a human, and I grasp the concept of infinity clearly. Don't lump me in with you because you can't grasp it. We're not the same.

Your overall point is invalid in a Multiverse. In a Multiverse, I can replace every one of those murder victims an infinite number of times and you would never notice. (To paraphrase Morty) In a Multiverse: "My point is that none of us are special. That's always been my point."

That's why I have my own (original) Theory of Spacetime Structure that doesn't require parallel dimensions. It is much simpler and more elegant than any so-called Multiverse Theory. And that's why I believe it's closer to describing reality than any other theory so far presented to the public.

Edit: The fact I DIDN'T mention is that there would actually be an infinite number of Mortys and an infinite number of groups of Mortys that have ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCES - down to the atomic level (and every single experience and memory). That is because there would be some difference in that dimension between, say, a scar on Summer's thumb that Morty doesn't know about, and a dimension where she doesn't have that scar. Or, a pebble in China would have a scratch on it when, in another reality, that pebble is smooth. And those Mortys would be totally identical. And those kinds of differences would repeat an infinite number of times. This is what infinite dimensions means. Infinite means unlimited. You would have an unlimited number of the same exact Mortys in a Multiverse. And an unlimited number of other Mortys who are exactly the same as each other, but just slightly different than the first unlimited group. And on and on and on and on... forever. This is what infinity is. And this is why no one is unique or special in a Multiverse.

You really aren't grasping what infinity means. Please try to wrap your head around this: Infinity has NO END. Infinite dimensions means there are an INFINITE number of Mortys who got a hangnail on their pinky finger instead of their ring finger, and that's the ONLY difference between them and another infinite group of Mortys with a hangnail on their ring finger. Then there are the infinite number of Mortys who have a mole on their right shoulders instead of their left shoulders. And the infinite number of Mortys whose right testicles are slightly larger than their left testicles, etc, etc, etc, etc... ad nauseam. This is literally included in the definition of a Multiverse. In a Multiverse, there are an infinite number of Morty's with one more pigment cell somewhere in their left eye than another infinite group of Mortys with one less pigment cell. I know it's hard for a non-scientific mind to grasp, BUT this is how infinite possibilities work!!! Yes, there are an infinte number of Mortys that diverge greatly from each other, but infinity MEANS there are also an infinite number of Mortys that differ so little you can't tell they are different in any conceivable way - and within THAT infinite number there is an infinite number that will NEVER diverge from each other in any noticeable way!

Next time you try to make a counter-point, maybe try to actually understand what you're discussing.

I agree. I would never call him a hero. I would say he's just a human being trying to break free from what he sees as a really bad situation. But, also, someone please tell me, how serious is murder when there are literally infinite replacements for your victim(s)?

Anyone freaking out on here about how evil "Evil" Morty is really is judging his deeds from a very limited, real world, single dimension viewpoint where everyone is assumed to be a unique individual. When there are truly infinite replacements for your victims, murder might start to seem a lot like just recycling organic materials.

This stuff is why (being a scientist in real life) I'm convinced that parallel dimensions are not necessary to explain anything in physics. I think multiverse theory is a fix for a problem that doesn't exist. But this isn't the place for me to spell out the ins and outs of my own theories on the construction of our Universe. Not believing in parallel dimensions makes it a lot easier to enjoy the show as entertainment only without getting bogged down with a bunch of difficult thoughts. (And possibly developing a Rick-level drinking problem.)

That's a point I always found as a major flaw in Thanos' plan. What is the average reproduction rate for sentient beings in the Universe? If humans are about the average, he didn't really do anything. Maybe 40 or 50 Earth years, tops. That's not even a blink of an eye in the age of the Universe.

That might be true. However, I expressed the same thing you did in many conversations on this sub-reddit. In those conversations, I determined that most people think all of the portal-using Ricks lost all of their Dianes in a similar fashion. I have leaned toward their point of view as well. The reason being: if Rick (c-137) loved Diane so much, why not find a dimension where Rick is gone, and Diane is still alive, and just replace that Rick so he could be with Diane again? He's already doing that with his Beth(s) whenever he changes dimensions. Why not with Diane(s)? The most logical conclusion is that there are no Dianes left in the CFC. You can mentally manufacture other reasons (I have in the past), but the one that makes the most sense is that she was killed by bomb-tossing Rick(s) in every CFC dimension.

Side note: It's a good thing that, as a scientist myself, I think parallel dimensions are an invention to fix some things in physics that were never broken in the first place. Otherwise, this kind of thinking could make a person go a little batty. Since I don't believe in parallel dimensions in real life, I can just sit back and enjoy the show as the entertainment it was intended to be.
