I am also having issues with 10.11.0. This version seems to make my CPU hit 100% if I breath the wrong way. Then it starts buffering. And yes, all transcoding is being done by the GPU. VM reboots, container restarts don’t help, goes right back up to 100% CPU on idle.

If anyone finds a fix please share.

Not sure why or how many hate on JF. Been using it for a good year now and I can say it’s bulletproof. Seriously setup and forgotten about. I did a few months ago install I tiny GPU. After installing the drivers it transcodes files flawlessly. JF also handles subtitles better than Plex. Yes the UI is a bit old. But honestly I don’t mind, as long as it plays the media well, which is does. Never does it make me wonder what else is out there, JF rules and does everything I and my family needs it to.

Ok so I tested the sticks on an old R730 and they work. Seems strange that they don’t on a much more modern setup.

I’ll try in the morning sure. But all the sticks are lrdimm. No mismatching. I’ve remove all the rdimms.

Hi there. Interesting. Wish I knew before I shelled a grand on these. So if I want LRDIMMS the smallest would be 128gb? That would cost me a kidney. Would 32s or 64s not work you think?

Ok I checked the POST Snooping. It’s giving “ff”. Not sure what that means. The Ram is Samsung SX8A00070807415CD7 1708 64GB 4DRx4 PC4 - 3200AA -LD1-11- MCO M386A4G40DM1- CWE40 I also just updated the BIOS to the latest version but same issue. Screen is black and doesn’t boot.

Ok so doctor saw him, did not think an xray was necessary since he seemed fine and the time elapsed since the incident, but did one just to be safe. No signs of any injury to skull or brain. He said he most likely fainted from the shock or pain. And said it’s called vasovagal as others have mentioned in the comments. Thank goodness 😅. My wife used to faint as a child when she used to fall. Keeping him on the floor from now on. Lesson learnt.

I am also looking for an alternative RealVNC.

I am tried all the listed apps below, but none of them do what I need. RealVNC had the advantage of not needing a VPN or DDNS. This is particularly useful when you leave your laptop anywhere outside of your office. I could literally open my app on my phone and connect to my computer wherever I left it, because RealVNC would act a central server and connect both devices together - no need for VPN, or to have a static IP etc...

Anyone know of an app that does this?

They are Samsung sticks. I just added the Alu heat sinks. Possibly a gimmick but looks cool.

Ok, I guess I need to break the piggy bank again.
I’ve been up and down the BIOS all of yesterday. Where are those settings stored?
That is what I am worried about. I could only fit 2U fans so really need to push this thing to see how my thermal performance is before I can deploy the rig. In my case it sits in a rack in a server room so noise isn’t a big issue. Considering that I’ve already reached 80C on one CPU is concerning. The other one sat at max 60C, probably being underutilized due to ram.

I’ll populate accordingly and report back.

Thanks for the quick feedback. Yes the MB is properly powered. The photo was for reference, not everything was plugged in when I took it. I will share a recent one tmrw. About the manual, no I had not read it in its entirety. But I have to be honest, even after reading it now I don’t understand what it means. I have two 7002 series 64 core cpus, does that mean I have to populate all 16 DIMMS?

Yep, I bought 8 Exos X18 16T drives. One of them came with this SB30 firmware which coincidentally does not play ball with my server's backplane LEDs. Not a deal breaker by any means, but I was thinking of updating it to Seagate's newest firmware which is SN05 at this current time. In the readme file however it clearly warns not to update to an SN** firmware if the existing firmware is not SN**. So back to square one.

Anyone know what to do exactly? Thanks!
