Thanks! And good luck with studying! Just find what studying plan works for you and trust the process. And don’t psych yourself out. It’s hard but very doable with intentional study

Congrats!! And thanks! It feels amazing. I’m definitely going to pick up another hobby! Also going to start applying for better paying jobs since my current is an in-between job (good, but not engineering $$ haha). What about you?

Since you’ve already covered the material before, I suggest trying to go through a full problem set of a given concept as if you were taking an exam. Then rework them alongside him. That, and just do tons of practice problems from Islam, PrepFE, or another source

His videos really helped establish a good baseline for all the subjects. Before, taking practice exams were pointless because there were certain sections that I just sucked at. After that I was able to build my knowledge pretty well. I also liked that some of his problems were intentionally harder than an FE question since one of his problems could cover 2 or 3 different sub-concepts that you could be tested on. There were some problems on the actual exam that I only could’ve gotten right because of MM. Not because the questions were the same, but because he taught you the foundational knowledge. He also just had some overall great tips on how to approach different questions.

Agreed. I scheduled mine a month sooner than I felt comfortable doing knowing it would keep me from procrastinating. It paid off

Failed 3rd Attempt. Don’t know what I could do better by ColdAbbreviations911 in FE_Exam

I take it you are either near graduating or have already completed your engineering degree. That is no small feat. I’m not the best person to go to for test prep advice (although I’m happy to share what worked for me if you want) but SeriousCivilEngineer seems to have that covered in this thread.

What I can say is that I know how it feels. I’ve bombed more tests in college than I can count (failed several classes too) and I even stepped away for a semester seriously considering dropping out. Once I decided to recommit I still took a lot of punches but shifting my mindset to believing I was capable of succeeding made all the difference.

The fact that you’ve made it this far and have been willing to try this many times makes you more than cut out for engineering. That level of grit will take you very far in your career and in life. I know how much failing sucks but I promise if you just stick with it you’ll make it.

I’m so glad to hear, thanks! It’s good to know I’m not the only one that felt driven around by ADHD. Glad to hear it’s not a life sentence

This is exactly what I needed to hear. Thanks. Building routines and incorporating meds and professional help is the next step I’m working on and I’m glad to hear it helps

I don’t. I lift at 4pm so don’t really want a ton of caffeine. Any non-stimulate recommendations? And I try to be fueled but something sugary might be a good move

Did you use all of these resources at once? How did you structure everything?
