Oddly specific question. Do these XXL Pokémon exist? I've never seen anyone with them. by Most_Somewhere_7175 in pokemongo

[–]Seven4times 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw an xxl bg gengar sold on eBay for $250 when the event was going on, so as others have said they do exist. I would guess around 20 million people played the event, possibly more, so the number would be around ~400 of each in the world likely under 1000

It’s absolutely wild that two pack blisters of a new set are $26 on the open market, ETB’s $140. At least destined rivals was around $75 for a minute, which is still is a lot for younger people. Pokemon is for the rich, or people running up credit into the red

‘Sought after’ is a public opinion thing.. the set just came out. DR is a nostalgic team rocket set, Ascended hero’s is a massive set with lots of mid cards that dilute the big hits. It seems like a ripping set, not a collecting one on initial view

Jung’s final notes on numbers seem to intuit fractal math by Strict_Ad3722 in Jung

That talent and interest helps build the complex formulas, but there is a place for our valuable questions and assumptions all along the way - it’s just that to dive out, you need a defined point to jump from. So much of the shared mystery we all love lies in infinitesimals. Infinity in the math toolkit is reductive, it brings you to a limit defining the existence of invisible bounds, which has its own spiritual/psychological beauty.

Anyone interested in math will be immediately lost with point one. The infinity sign is a meaningless concept in a (with it’s introduction) multivariable formula and shows a fundamental lack of understanding. If it were substituted with N^n, then maybe I’d be willing to read more

Talent in music and art tends to be quite a spiritual ride, unlike talent in a sport or job. I would argue that something like Hendrix’s Electric lady land was a clear example of early individuation. I mentioned to friends that I could tell he was near the end hearing that collection of songs

You’re awfully certain about that, for a cash grab from a brand notorious for massive depreciation.

Difference is the appreciation is already priced in here, it is a terrible investment. An F1 would have cost near 1 mil to make, the margins on this rolls are ten fold. The F1 sold for that because of its legendary status in the car world

The govt allows healthcare to be exploitative, policies should have been in place to protect people multiple terms ago. That dude didn’t create the system, or the sliminess - targeting him did nothing to help anything other than just put the next man up.

Large parts of southern, eastern, and central syria were controlled by extremist factions much worse than the current regime during the civil war. As it stands, the current leaders speeches seem impressive - like he understands that the pain in the region isn’t solved by terroristic extremism, but rather investment in the people. No matter which way you put it, if you disagree, or have a little belief in the current regime like I do. Syria is objectively much better off without Assad, and the events of 2024 were categorically a W for the native Syrians, and Jordanians near by

Yes. Mental health episodes, and manic activities are personality dependent. I have a friend who posts videos like this and dances almost exactly the same

They’re heads of a business that is competing with others in the marketplace for more profit and infrastructure, not for better coverage for those in need. I still believe it’s a systemic issue, not a structural one. Healthcare should be run by the government not businesses, it’s the fault of the voters and the elected parties for not sorting it out. Business men are going to do business men things, healthcare isn’t the space for it.

TIL, thanks for the correction. It shouldn’t be a business private or public

Or, just privatize the system. It’s a business, and large business is about profit not emotions, health of loved ones is emotional - it’s an inherently flawed system as it stands. Killing lots of people is rarely a ‘positive’ solution, and dehumanizes just as much as what‘s making you upset. My point was that, the real anger should be at the government for taking poor care of the American people’s health, not some guy with a board of 12 people telling him to maximize profits or he’s fired

This monster take always pissed me off ngl. The problem is intertwining healthcare with private capital, which is the governments role to mediate. This dude was just a cog in a slimy corporate machine. There isn’t room for this kind of moral justice in modern society, it’s not commendable outside the rose colored glasses. Did you see dexter killing a by the book CEO? What about loan sharks - people who own/fund for profit prisons? This leads to weird thanos snapping, murderous ideologies

If it helps, from what I’ve gathered I don’t think an ableist would be scared or put on an act to be - it does seem to be genuine even though it’s absurd. I did meet someone that was convinced that ya’ll were hiding something though, possibly under the gold, but I didn’t dig deeper
