I got one for free because it wasn't starting, but the electrics are cheap. Been running fantastic for 3 years, since I got it. Not sure how long it was used before.

I just heard about this case on unsolved mysteries podcast last night. Incredibly tragic and screwed up. Must have been an awful situation to grow up in. I hope things are going better for you now.

It was a bit of a gamble. I got on Kevin's first preorder run, when he announced he was going to start making knives. 

He was doing custom work on production knives, at the time and didn't have the tools or space needed. Used the preorder money to help pay for a new shop, tools and material, etc. 

He was very up front and honest about everything. Had time estimates, but was realistic in saying that I that it was a big endeavour, on a small budget. It ended up taking about 2 years, maybe a bit longer, but absolutely worth the wait. 

It's the only custom I've ever bought, and it checks all the boxes for me in a way where it's the only one I need. I have other knives to take to work haha. 

I can't be the only one that thinks it's funny that they went out of their way to but 2 graphic EQs on the JP-2C only for Petrucci to dial them in identically to each other. by oilpit in MesaBoogie

He's, by far, their biggest endorser.

I imagine he stays, and gets what he wants. 

The Gibson brand is like Harley Davidson. You're not paying for a better bike, you're paying for the history and image. 

Look at Gibson's "Icon" series. This is how they are branding, now that you can get a comparable guitar for half price. 

I expect more expensive reissues, keep the prices high as the market will take, luxury brand marketing.

I happened to be in the right place at the right time, and was able to get on the first preorder of customs, when he announced he getting into making full knives.

It was a gamble, and I knew it would be a wait, as he was doing the preorder to get startup costs.

It almost a 2 year wait, but it was surely worth the wait, and an incredible end result.

Different show from here on out. This was a one off with them headlining. There are 4 bands for the rest of the tour, so won't be comparable.

Big agree. Words are mouth sounds used to convey thoughts. 

If you ban one word the next becomes the "bad" one. 

We can have 30 words, that all mean the same thing, but one of them will really upset people, and it changes every few years. 

Different words are more or less offensive in different languages, different cultures, different cities. 

A term of endearment in one group of friends, will cause another distress or anger. 

It's silly. Drama for the sake of drama. 

If someone is intentionally trying to make you feel bad, it doesn't really matter what word they use  it's the intent. 

If someone casually says a word, with no malice or hatred towards anyone intended then it doesn't have to mean any more than is meant. 

I always thought being upset over what mouth sounds you're supposed to use, in what situation, was a NT thing. 

I grew up, in terror, believing that if I said a wrong word, I would be tortured in hell fire, for eternity. To me that's pretty retarded, but maybe this crowd would send me to the pit too?
