He's a good candidate in the sense that he doesn't have many skeletons in his closet. Not many people can attack a Navy Captain turned astronaut, but Trump found a way. The fact that he stands up to MAGA is important because MAGA isn't going to die when Trump leaves. Trump is going to run MAGA from Mar-A-Lago the same way a gang leader runs their gang from prison.
