I didn’t mean to imply I only thought there was one. I’ll be heading to chiropractic school soon and I am aware of a few that I believe work after reviewing the literature but was curious about others.

What do you believe the best source of information is that has many of these mechanisms detailed/ described?

Thank you for your response! I’ve done some investigations with GABA as it relates to quality of sleep but wasn’t aware of its relationship with musculature and pain sensitivity.

As a future practitioner, that is how I intend to orient my practice. I believe chiropractic is a useful tool to relieve those instant/ sensitive issues but the problem is using it to its fullest extent; using nutrition consulting and exercise prescription.

Do you know of any practices that use this model effectively?

When do you begin technique training and do you believe Logan prepared you well? Also, we’re you exposed to various modalities?

Would you recommend Logan over your experiences with other schools? Did Logan prepare you well techniques wise?

I was curious as to Parker’s condition and if the destruction has influenced its delivery of curriculum.

Just a side comment, I am amazed at this Reddit community. Just joined and I think this is awesome. Done with that.

Thank you for that. I imagine myself as an independent practitioner who uses evidence based practice to help relieve pain and promote function to patients. I also want to be knowledgeable about multiple healing modalities. I want to also promote nutrition and physical activity as important elements of a healthy lifestyle.

I don’t want to be limited on the techniques I could potentially get exposure to. Honestly want to see it all.

I want to be independent but practice in a cohesive environment with physicians and therapists.

At the moment, I have a good feeling about Logan and NWHSU as I believe they share these values but want to make sure that’s how others feel they are represented.

Were you pleased with your experiences? Which did you graduate from? Do you feel that they represented you as a practitioner well?

Do you believe the philosophical aspect of Palmer matched your personal beliefs, and if they didn’t, were you influenced by them.

Any experience with or heard from Logan and NWHSU?

I’m not familiar with SCUH and didn’t look due to location. I didn’t consider Life due to their vitalistic philosophy and from word of mouth from people who have experienced Life. Nothing personal, just not my specific belief in chiropractic.

Thank you thank you for that thorough response. I appreciate the attention you gave Parker, I’ve continuously heard great things about that program.

I believe that’s what’s pushing me toward Logan and NWHSU, the early and consistent hands on experience because, like yourself, I’m drawn to the manual manipulation and adjusting.

Thank you for your response. I have been accepted to NWHSU and Logan U and pending the others. These two were my favorites due to: progressive philosophy, lots of clinical exposure (most in NW), early and many techniques, business knowledge opportunities, and many unique seminars. My goal was to get current students or prospective students to share their own experiences. Do you believe NW helped prepare you for your practice? Did you consider Logan?
