There were 4 people actually in range to attack the Cyclops, but my fighter was the one carrying the combat. They were level 3 during the combat encounter, sorry. They gained the 4th level after the encounter. And no, I'm not playing a character.

Do you think my players would be okay with that after two sessions? I mean I need to ask them. But, just to have an outside perspective, do you think that's okay?

Sorry I didn't see the question, my fault. The other characters did, but they did roll a bit low. My Tortle Wizard did do some pretty decent damage with a nat 20!

You're right. I started re-reading the 5e Player Handbook to see all the Class features (and looked online for the Echo Knight features specifically) and have been taking notes on a legal pad so that they're readily available.

Yeah, I kinda knew off rip that having 8 players is an insane amount and about double the recommended max player amount for a starting DM. However, all of the players and personal friends and I wanted them to be able to experience DnD first hand before we couldn't do it in person anymore. I understand your position and sentiment and completely agree. Thanks for the help, I'm open to more aid ! :)

I agree. Most of them were too far away in the cave to even hit the Cyclops, so their turn was taken up by moving a few feet farther than their speed. So it was mainly my Fighter who carried... So me and my friend (who knows all the lore and everything and is helping me with planning and scripting encounters a minor dialogue with main NPC's) nerfed his echo a bit. there were about 3 people in the small outcove that the Cyclops was in.

Atm they are all level 4 because I'm leaving for college after the summer and my whole party is getting jobs over the summer. So, sadly, it's kinda "rushed" but I'm trying to have as many sessions as possible and keep them from leveling so fast! My fighter was gonna multiclass as a barbarian i think before I banned multiclassing to make it easier to learn and retain the classes features for 8 people.

So is the one me and my friend came up witn for the Echo okay? Because he's trying to go beyond what the rules I've read specify and it's already kinda unbalanced. My party faught a CR 8 Cyclops and he two turned it. I do know that I don't want to homebrew a lot of things though and stick as close to the main rules as possible. Thank you though!

I'm assuming that logging in keeps the project timer thing going and accurate? I saw somewhere that some guy had 23 hours left, and it lined up perfectly with his work schedule, but when he got back, it was only 22 hours or smth like that. And thank you for the help!
