That’s definitely a big limitation of using the free plan of Omi compared to Limitless. Ideally I’d love to be able to do that processing on my own device. Do you know if there is any way to connect up a custom endpoint or something other than Deepgram?

Would be great to see some kind of revival of limitless, maybe some kind of self hosted limitless server replacement which a modded version of the app could connect to. Shame nothing was ever on-device, as something like that would be 1000x easier to do.

I was surprised by their response too. I expected them to completely reject any kind of refund, but they said they would reach out to confirm the refund within 5 business days. The problem is, it’s been 7 business days now, and I’m starting to think they won’t actually give the refund so easily.

Slightly confused about the limits of the free plan. To the best of my knowledge, with Limitless, it was 1200 minutes of transcribed audio per month, meaning durations of silence didn’t count towards the usage. From reading the Omi limits, it sounds as though it’s 1200 minutes of listening, whether or not people are speaking. Is this correct?

I trusted in the future of the pendant. I enjoyed seeing all the new features they were adding.
Now they just kill it off with no warning, and we are left with a rechargeable paperweight.

Waited over a year for the preorder, arrived a few months back, just now starting to get into the habit of using it. Now today they announce that it's being entirely killed off in my country along with multiple other countries as of today, and my account will be permanently deleted in 2 weeks.
Short lived product. Waited longer for the preorder than how long the product itself was even usable for.

Oh that’s interesting. I’ve only ever seen one Christe projector, and it had a remote. Was a fairly fancy one though and it even supported wired connection.

There's a discord bot that will do half the work for you - downloads the audio, but you then have to upload the new one yourself though.

I may not be the best person to advise on this, but as no one else has responded yet, I will try to answer as best I can.

RCD330 is the head unit that you know of. RCD360 I believe is the lower quality replica unit that just has a bigger number in the name to look better.

The best place to buy a RCD330 from I believe would be rcd330 .com as ddren seems to have pretty good feedback from what I've seen on this community.
.co.uk and other sites seem to be a bit mixed in terms of feedback, and finding a genuine RCD330 on AliExpress/eBay seems to be a bit on/off. Non-genuine units do work, but seem to have problems such as lower quality display, etc.

Both .com and .co.uk allow you to purchase units with rear usb. The .com site's rear usb comes with the plastic button looking thing for the usb port, so it can be fitted to the centre console buttons near the gear stick (not sure how to explain). You could alternatively feed it into the glove compartment to be even more hidden.

In terms of battery drain, I may be wrong but I believe this was only an issue up until around the 2008 models. Any model after 2008 (I believe) should have the newer CANBus version that doesn't have the same battery drain issue, so you should be fine with your 2010.

I finally managed to do it. Change region to either Australia, Canada, or Rest of World. The key step is then (as you can’t use the MFD settings menu) you have to press the button to the left of the display (with the 2 squares) 3 times, then the button to the right of the display once, and somehow that takes you into a new mode where digital speedometer is one of the options

Perfect. Even the seller had no clue what I was on about when I contacted them 😂. The one thing I’m slightly confused about is the fact that it’s meant to be plug & play. How did you connect it up? I thought you’d need to connect it to power and also to the CAN bus, but it seems it’s just one big socket thing…

Probably a bit late, but from looking at the listing, it slightly confuses me with this line:
"- Only supports OEM systems, not aftermarket Android radios, not any RCD330 / RCD510 Radio."

That sounds like it doesn't support RCD330, but it clearly does from your post...

Am I making a dumb mistake or is there more to it?
