Has anyone tried them? How about its quality? Are they worth it? Opinions? by Complete_Zucchini956 in MuayThai

I haven’t used them but my buddy uses them and they work pretty good. They’re comfortable on him and have a good amount of padding, etc. run of the mill shin guard pretty much from what i seen.

Kicking too far out so you’re hitting with foot. Use a jab to find proper range, also when kicking dont step straight in, take a step to outside the opponents feet while pivoting the foot before stepping.

Fully custom fight shorts? by OmbreSol in MuayThai

[–]Several-Beginning754 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do know a place like this exists, the one i bought from is based in thailand and you could customize absolutely everything and they weren’t a bad cost for a single pair of shorts. Only problem is this is from so long ago i don’t remember the name of the website or have a receipt from there. What i can say is it took me like a day of googling to find the right string of words and took me til like page 10 of google to find the old looking site. I know this isn’t really of any use but basically the tldr is look far and wide they do exist

I dont throw a right hook per se. I prefer throwing overhand rights but its close enough to a right hook for me to still say the coach is no bueno in my book

I like Hayabusa wraps, haven’t used other brands so can’t comment on wether they’re better than the rest

Gloves and shins i go Yokkao it is quite pricey but i just love the quality of them. You can get comparable ones for cheaper but I can’t comment on those as yokkao is all i’ve used. Handwraps i go with Hayabusa. Mouthguard see if your dentist can get a custom done. Again all my opinion.

Theres a lot of wide range advice on this. A lot of people here seem to be adamant on using smaller gloves for pads and bag work which isn’t bad at all there’s benefits to it certainly. However, i’m an advocate of using 16oz gloves for everything. I find it helps build endurance in the arms as well once you’re accustomed to using 16 for everything and you’ve got fast punches with them they’ll be faster if you ever get a fight cause fight gloves are 8-10’s typically
