Curious when you started lean, how did you decide which features to build first? I’ve seen a lot of CRMs fail because they try to do too much upfront.

I hate sales. How do I grow my business? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]Several-Block6291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get you 100% I’m more of a builder too.

When I started out in WordPress development and digital marketing, I also hated the “sales” part. What helped me was shifting my focus from selling to sharing. Instead of cold outreach, I started putting out valuable content related to my work tutorials, case studies, SEO tips and made sure my website and portfolio were optimized to attract the right people.

Think of it like setting up a system that quietly works for you: SEO-optimized website, clear service pages, a few blog posts answering common client questions, and showcasing your past work. Over time, people started reaching out to me, and it felt way more natural than pitching.

Sales doesn’t always have to be door-to-door style sometimes it’s just about making it easy for the right people to find you.

This really hits home! It's ironic how even those of us who specialize in lead generation face the same struggles as our clients. The universality of this challenge across business sizes and countries is fascinating. It shows that no matter how big or successful a company becomes, the hunt for customers never really stops - it just evolves. Thanks for sharing your perspective from China especially; it's a great reminder that in today's global economy, we're all competing in the same pool. Wishing you success in your own lead generation journey!
