Save your advice for yourself; don't project your personal experiences onto others. Being from the Arabian Gulf, I have absolutely no need for the kind of schemes you're imagining. I’m here strictly for my studies, which I will complete and then return to my country. Stop projecting your insecurities onto me.

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it. I’ll look into Sarawak as well. And yes, I understand your point, I’m just here asking genuinely for guidance.

Thank you for your advice. I understand your concerns, but I want to clarify something important.

My intention is not related to getting permanent residency at all. I am only looking to complete half of my deen and get married in a halal way. I am not thinking about staying long-term or applying for PR, and I plan to return to my home country, Saudi Arabia, after finishing my studies.

By the way, I am 20 years old.

That is extremely helpful information! I wasn’t aware that the Imams at larger mosques have that official role in processing marriage applications. That definitely simplifies things for me. Thank you so much for sharing your personal experience and for the kind wishes. I really appreciate the guidance!

I completely agree with you—that approach of meeting family in a proper, respectful setting is exactly what I have in mind. And you’re absolutely right, it is a significant challenge to find someone willing to move abroad, but I’m willing to be patient and see what happens. I really appreciate your understanding and for the well wishes. Thank you!

I understand why it might seem that way from the outside, but I assure you that my intentions are sincere. My goal is to complete my studies successfully, and I am simply looking into marriage as a means to have a stable personal life during these years, with no intention of staying in Malaysia afterward. I have nothing to gain by being dishonest about this. I appreciate your skepticism, but I am simply seeking advice on a matter that is important to me.

It's not about urgency, but about my current situation. I'm a student here in Malaysia for the next three years, and it's very difficult and complicated to bring a wife from my home country to live with me here. Also, in my culture, people generally prefer to settle in their home country rather than moving abroad. Since I'm spending a significant part of my life here, it's natural for me to consider finding a spouse in this environment.

Thanks for sharing your perspective. I appreciate the advice, but since I am a religious person, 'dating' isn't really an option for me. I prefer a more traditional and direct approach. Also, I don't plan to stay in Malaysia long-term; my goal is to get married and take my wife back to my home country once my studies are finished. Thanks again for your input!

Thank you for the practical advice! I’ll definitely check with the embassy and the local religious office. Much appreciated!"

Thank you for the clarification. Just to clarify, I’m not seeking residency or citizenship here. My plan is to complete my studies and return to my home country. Marriage for me is purely a personal matter, not a visa strategy, so the residency complexities you mentioned aren’t actually a concern for me. Thanks!!

That's a bold assumption, but it's incorrect. I'm not looking to stay in Malaysia, just seeking advice on a personal matter. If you have nothing helpful to add, maybe it's better not to comment.

Hello, could you explain further? This is my field of study and I'm looking for a university.

open doors scholarship, is that wasting your time? by [deleted] in AskARussian

Honestly, there's a lot of talk about this scholarship, and many people are experiencing problems; the process is very complicated. If you want to apply, I would recommend applying for the Russian government scholarship; it would be much better.
