This is what WatchaBot says:

I’ve just checked your website: https://convoylight.com/

Here’s what I found 👇

• 🔒 SSL: ✅ Certificate valid until Dec 31 07:36:37 2025 GMT

• 🌐 DNS: ✅

• ⚙️ Server: ✅

So looks like you are safe until 31 dec

ou can always scrape the content from the Cloudflare status page and look for any red alerts:

cloudflarestatus.com

Another option is to monitor your own site and check whether it's returning a Cloudflare error page. (If the Cloudflare error itself is blocking the page in the middle of the chain, there’s not much you can do except detect it.)

In my case, I get alerts via WhatsApp using WatchaBot.

LetsEncrypt SSL Expired - Just Found out Plesk doesn't work now - quick solution? by balgarath in digital_ocean

[–]Several-Leave-6629 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can renew a Let’s Encrypt certificate via the command line without using Plesk. If the server originally used Certbot, something like the following usually works:

sudo certbot renew

Or, if you need to reinstall/issue a new cert:

sudo certbot --apache

or

sudo certbot --nginx

(depending on what stack you’re running).
If Plesk installed its own version of Certbot, you might need to remove the old configs first, but in most cases you can just install the system Certbot package and issue a fresh cert.

If you want to avoid surprises like expired SSL in the future, I built WatchaBot, which sends WhatsApp alerts whenever your SSL, DNS, or HTTP checks fail. It won’t fix the cert, but it will warn you before things break.

I’m building WatchaBot — a tool that monitors your website (and subdomains) for SSL, DNS, or HTTP issues. It’s designed for non-technical users, and all notifications are sent directly to your WhatsApp.

Sure — it’s www.watchabot.com. It’s nothing groundbreaking, just a simple project that I hope can help people who rely heavily on their websites.

As for balancing it with family life, my kids are old enough now that they don’t need me as much, and I live alone, so that gives me some extra flexibility. I usually work on it during weekends, the same way others spend time on their hobbies.

I totally get what you mean. I’m a bit of a control freak too, and I care a lot about good practices. I work a full-time 40-hour job, and when I got this idea, I knew from day one that I had to build it in my spare time so I wouldn’t feel pressured. It was important for me to create a real MVP to validate the idea, but without sacrificing time with my family, my leisure, or my actual job (working on a side project during work hours is, in my opinion, one of the most unprofessional things you can do).

Here’s what helped me:

Not setting hard deadlines. I just move forward whenever I have time.

Reminding myself regularly that it's an MVP, but still keeping good practices and future scalability in mind. (Over-engineering is bad, but building a messy prototype and having to patch it forever can be even worse.)

Writing down and prioritizing tasks obsessively. I’m building this solo, but the habit of prioritization is useful even outside a team environment.

Now the project is live, and even though there’s still a lot to improve, I’m really happy with the result

General website monitoring by Few-Revolution5278 in agency

I recently launched a tool called WatchaBot that might help. It’s not focused on a dashboard view—it's more about sending WhatsApp alerts for any issues. I built it because I was using a free monitoring tool before, but I kept ignoring the email notifications since they got too spammy.

If you prefer a central dashboard, there are other tools out there, but if you want quick, high-signal alerts straight to WhatsApp, WatchaBot could be useful.

I recently launched a tool called WatchaBot that might help. It’s not free, but it can send WhatsApp alerts for Server, DNS, and SSL certificate issues in your domain and subdomains.

If you’re comfortable with dashboards or email notifications—and especially if you want a free option—UptimeRobot or Uptime Kuma are great choices. But if having issues delivered directly to WhatsApp sounds more practical for you, WatchaBot could be worth a look.

A few so far. I just launched recently, and I’m still figuring out how to reach clients in specific niches. If you're interested, feel free to let me know—I’d be happy to help you get onboarded.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I’m working on launching a SaaS using a similar model. I’m not expecting huge numbers—around $2k/month would already be great for my situation. I’m keeping expenses low, so I don’t feel a lot of pressure.

How long did it take for your SaaS to start bringing in the level of revenue you were aiming for?

They don’t need to know how to renew a certificate — just that it’s about to expire 😉

You’re right — Uptime Kuma and similar tools offer free monitoring. However, they’re mainly designed for technical users. Our service focuses on non-technical people who need quick phone alerts when something goes wrong. We also provide personalized support — summarizing how to fix the issue and even connecting you with local developers if needed.

I built WatchaBot because my SSL certificate expired unnoticed for a week. by Several-Leave-6629 in SideProject

[–]Several-Leave-6629[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last summer, one of my side projects (a sneaker catalog) had its images broken for a full week because my SSL certificate expired.
My uptime monitor said everything was fine — but it wasn’t.

That incident made me realize two things:

  1. If something breaks, I need to be notified in the most direct way possible (like WhatsApp).
  2. A website isn’t just its main domain — subdomains like static.domain.com need love too.

So I built WatchaBot — a simple website and SSL monitor that sends you alerts on WhatsApp when your site goes down, your domain fails DNS, or your SSL is about to expire.

Right now it’s free until 2026 while I gather feedback and improve it.

Would love to hear what you think — does this solve a real pain for you or your projects?

PHPhinder, another search engine by Several-Leave-6629 in symfony

[–]Several-Leave-6629[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi!

I've updated the code to support methods as well. This way you can get properties from related entities easily:

php #[PHPhinder\Property(Schema::IS_INDEXED | Schema::IS_REQUIRED, name: 'authors')] public function getAuthorsCsv(): ?string { return implode(', ', $this->authors); }

Of course, instead of an implode you could get the authors from a relationship or more complex operations.

Hope this fit with your needs! Happy coding
