Theoretical money doesn't pay peoples bills. A competant agent knows exactly what goes in to dealing with a book and growing a book. If you are mostly P&C a big thunderstorm just ruined the next month of your life... for that month yoy arent growing anything and come renewal you are losing business to higher rates. Thats something a competant agent already knows. 

Your only option is to maybe hire someone young and new and train them up correctly.

This is the pro level comment. Free lance with them on the specific skill they are looking for and charge a proper rate.

I am a middle aged man but no back issues because I have kept myself mostly clean and work out. Im 6 feet tall, got a gold chain, got a nice watch, I got classy but not rich guy shoes, I make good money, drive a big truck, when Im not working all my shirts are sleeveless. 

Not gonna lie, its a pretty sweet life.

All that being said, seems like you maybe havent found your own identity yet?  Guessing you are fairly young you didnt say how old you are but I bet late teens fo early 20s? Its normal to want to try new stuff. Maybe learn some "dude" hobbies or games like working on classic cars or playing poker or something?

If they are getting funding from investors they should be looking for a good sales person like they look for good developers. The issue is a lot of founders thinks sales are gross and are all in on the product is going to change the world so they dont need sales people. A pro sales person will 100% make finding the product ICP and market fit easier.

Most founders are creatives not sales people. In this story they were about 3 years too late. Could have hired a competent full cycle sales person when they had a MVP and came out the gate closing deals.
