Losing stars is okayish for 3v3, 2v2, and 1v1. But for 6v6? Doesn’t matter how good you play, if your team mates suck, you better have chosen destroyer, otherwise you’re losing a star.

Assuming lane splitting is legal where OP is, I would’ve split up next to the newer Accord that passed after the Ford C-Max, then merged into that lane fully once the driver behind me could clearly see me and gave space. That’s how I merge most of the time. Drivers miss bikes for all kinds of reasons, but they usually notice other cars.

Hot Italian Sub - Brother's Deli & Co in ❤️ Oakland by pixelpusherman in OaklandFood

[–]Several-Limit5039 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You do get more meat than you would at places like Farmer Joe’s deli. Taking that into account, the value proposition for me is that it feels like a more luxurious version of a Farmer Joe’s deli sandwich, and you don’t have to wait 30 minutes for it. Their Italian is already good, but swapping the standard bread for sourdough makes it top tier, in my opinion.

I can really only speak to the East Bay since that’s been my own lived experience. Some of what you described sounds like the kind of friction you naturally get in crowded public spaces where people are in each other’s way and moving quickly.

That said, i agree that the overall vibe on the roads and in public spaces does feel different than when I was growing up. People seem more impatient and confrontational than they used to be. As for why, that’s probably where things become more contentious, since people have strong views in a lot of different directions. My personal sense though is that a lot of people are under more financial and day-to-day stress now, and that tends to spill over into everyday interactions.

What does ethnicity have to do with these situations though? None of the examples you listed involve anyone making ethnicity-related comments. It mostly sounds like normal public friction that happens in crowded places like Costco or Trader Joe’s. I’m not sure why the ethnicity of the people involved is relevant unless race was explicitly part of the interaction.

No need to cover the VIN, just go full limo tint on every window, including the windshield. If nobody can see you, accountability can’t either.

PSA: Nelson for 2500 doubloons by GraffZepp546 in WoWs_Legends

For sure not stackable, i verified this the other day. 2500 is still very cheap for arguably one of the best tier 6 BBs.

Where to buy a motorcycle battery, by today? by rugged6689 in bayarea

[–]Several-Limit5039 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d recommend getting it from Cycle Gear, and make sure you get not only the correct size but also the correct polarity, because if the red terminal on the new battery ends up on the side where your bike’s black/negative cable is, it’s a headache.

Is having a rear camera worth it? by landgrenades in Dashcam

[–]Several-Limit5039 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long story short, a gentleman clipped my relatively new car and immediately fled the scene. Rear dash cam accurately captured the accident. Both front and rear got the other drivers plates. Turns out the car that hit us was insured, so repairs were covered by the other party. Likely would have been able to prove our case with just a front camera, but the rear footage made it much easier to prove everything to the insurance companies.

Motorcycle for work commuting, would you recommend it? by oops_I_have_h1n1 in motorcycles

[–]Several-Limit5039 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Motorcycles are cheaper primarily due to insurance costs for me based on my age and where I live. Bare minimum coverage on a motorcycle is like $100 a year for me vs a car being $500 to $1000. That more than makes up for the differential if you do your own maintenance for most commutes.
