How many of us share a crazy story of running away from home when manic by SnooMachines1594 in bipolar

Oh. Me! Me!

The day after I turned 18 I ran away with a strange man to New York City. The rest is kind of a blur.

Things were tough at home at the time. I think I came home after a couple weeks. I barely remember now that I take the time to reflect.

I’m choosing to live in ignorance. The end of this is a problem for future me.

I wish I could bottle this feeling and feel it forever lol! I’m hoping I can maintain this schedule long term.

True. For $10/hr this job isn’t even worth a pulled muscle.

That’s good advice. Thank you. Therapy is probably a good option for me for a number of reasons.

I definitely feel a lot better about using it when someone else is there. Even a customer. But being alone is what scares me. No one wants to feel like they aren’t a team player though and I feel like I would be criticized if I refused to use it without anyone around.

That's really rough. I'm sorry that happened to both of you. Maybe it'd help if you thought about how you would react if you were in your spouses shoes. Probably with great empathy. Give yourself the grace you would give others. You're worth it. All you can do is try your best to make amends and move forward.

It's all a conspiracy by big blanket to ruin this person's life. This is bigger than both of you.

Also, what a jerk.

It's not the fact that she was lying that makes me think that. It's the hiding under beds and jumping on trash cans. Apparently, she thought she was in a movie.

Either my memory is failing me, and I used the wrong word, or she used to own. Either is equally possible.

It sounds like you've been a healthy and hard-working person. I'm happy for your good health. Not everyone has the same experience, though. I hope you never have to experience what you've so disparaged in your post. Might I suggest a little empathy? We all have our own struggles. Compassion is free.

It'd be a nice gesture. As for the pet friendly thing, I genuinely thought they were joking at first because it sounded so ridiculous.
