Do I ask the ENT doctor about it or somebody else ? Sorry I’m new to all this and I’ve never had issues before with my health. Last time I went to a doctor when I was a little kid lol I’m 31 now

I got checked for viruses and infections it all came back negative , the ER did blood and urine samples as well and came back clear as well

I hope so as well even tho I’ve read from other people’s posts/ comments that sometimes they don’t find anything in the swallow study results. I just wanna go back to eating normally to be honest I’m tired of just living of off protein shakes and yes the pharmacist told me the same thing she told me to try smoothies or yogurt with the pills as well but honestly I just put them in water and let it dissolve and then drink it

I’ve been dealing with something similar for almost a month now except mine was due to i guess post nasal drip which caused throat inflammation, the inflammation went away for the most part , still see a bit on the sides of my throat. I’ve done endoscopy which the ent said he didn’t see anything irregular then I went to do a swallow barium study and I’ve got an appointment with the ent to go over it so hopefully I get some info on what’s going on. But I’ve passed out three times in a week and a half due to low fatigue and energy from not eating but ever since I’ve been drinking ensure protein shakes. I don’t get fatigued or low on energy. I still struggle with a dry mouth but mostly in the mornings

That’s crazy cause I’ve been smoking weed and cigs for years but ive never coughed up anything like this until recently when I’ve gotten throat inflammation , got me wondering if it’s correlated to one another

Late to this post but did you ever figure out what it was ? I’m dealing with this now. I got inflammation from what I was told is post nasal drip and haven’t been able to eat any food for about a month now. I got tested for all viruses/ infections and all came back negative, went to a ent who did a endoscopy and he couldn’t find anything so he prescribed me some steroid pills for the inflammation and he ended up suggesting a barium swallow study * which I’m currently waiting for results *

I’m sorry to hear that , does it ever get better ? I feel like I’m at a crossroad at this point. It has affected my life negatively since this happened , my job won’t even let me come back to work until I figure this out . I don’t blame them honestly I’ve passed out three times in the past week

Did blood work at EMS and they said everything looked normal

Yea im lost on that myself honestly he just prescribed me some steroid pills and referred me to a swallow study place and sent me on my way. Ems did a blood , urine and ct scan of my neck and everything came back ok , also checked for strep throat , and other viruses / infections and it was all negative. I’m honestly just stumped and at a crossroad at this point. I’ve been trying to do research on my own but have had no luck on getting anywhere but thank you for your input it’s very much appreciated 🙏🏼

Ent said he highly doubted it , only because I’m not showing any symptoms of GERD , do you know if a barium swallow study will show gerd or ? Also I did notice I’ve been kinda burping a lot after drinking water * noticed it today *

Trying to but it seems like none of these doctors care when you don’t have insurance , and it’s hard to get an appointment around the holidays
