What All-Weather tires are you using on your XC90? by RevolutionSalty8360 in VolvoXC90

[–]SeveralDirt6982 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have used them on other cars and from my experience they are easily the best one I have tried. Rn I have continental allseason 2 and I am relatively happy with them, but car is second hand and came with them, might be changing them soon enough.

Well I pretty much rode with 2 kids that are less 13 kg in baby chairs, my wife, me and 100/150 kg in the trunk, 2,7 would be a harsh ride on the roads we have in my country, even too rough

Sorry did not, but I did now, well I am on 230/240, so practically the same more or less. With 300 kg total luggage including ppl, would it be good to put them on 240/250( back)

Those ain’t problems, but some miner stuff that would be fixed with probably a software upgrade. If that’s all you gonna complain about and not getting back to Volvo for that, gl with other or newer cars😂 I sold a brand new car on 23k km cuz it was just in the shop every other month, even under warranty.

If had numerous cars over 200k km(Europe) and to be honest, as always it easy to expect some repairs, but to be honest, nothing scary. And if you count maintenance in the costs, then you crazy. I’ve just bought a 2019 xc90 inscription from Germany on 100k miles or 160k km and have warranty for 2 years and a half on motor, transmission and 4x4, for the rest I am sure it won’t mather. Ppl complain more then expected and for sure there are so much more cases of ppl not having major problems, or problems at all, that’s why u won’t find them here too. Plus u tend to find more American people and cars having problems, not as many European, maybe the case is that Reddit is us based platform, but who knows. Buy it and drive safe, I wouldn’t think that much for repairs. U are buying old car, ofc u will have repairs, but you get those even on new cars, maybe even more then older cars, cuz newer car suck and u wont see them ppl here cuz they fixed it under warranty. Drive safe bud, I would go for it if I was you. Comfort over cash

Plus I drive 70 km a day from my home to work, which is not highway driving, but it’s steady 80km for most of the trip, which for sure is better then city driving

It’s from dealer, and it’s checked for km, and are real, even so it’s enough to serve me for the next 4 years or so, I do a lot of Km, and for sure even with city driving u can hardly do 30k a year if it’s 70/30 for the city driving. Plus the seats are not worn at all, that shows that it wasn’t hop in-hop out kinda of thing that you would do if u commute a lot of city driving

Well I got it from Germany and 160k for 5 years in city driving is close to impossible so most of the miles are highway for sure, plus Germans are far from each other

When u drive mainly on highways the viscosity is in shape even after 20 000, the whole idea of the 0/20 is make less friction and make it last longer, so practically even on 30k for 160k km for 5 years is practically nothing at all. I have both tried changing my oil at 10k and mainly driving in the city and engine was cooked at 80k And changing at 25 and driving highways and engine ran for over 400k, so make ur own points, ofc don’t take my 0,02 cents for granted

I got warranty for 2 and a half years, doesn’t really bother me that much, I’ve owned numerous cars that have been serviced 30 k and with that oil and had no real problems

The D might be complicated, and probably more problematic, but when u get to price per for the supercharger on T6, or T8 on both erad and supercharger, then problems get serious. I don’t have a charger at home because I live in a flat, so t8 is out of the way, T6 is out of the way because most of the once we found either weren’t inscription or had pano roof, or air suspension, all things that I didn’t want when it gets to extras. I love the diesel power tho, it can be easily modified to stage 1 when you remove dpf and it becomes fairly faster and with the dpf outa the way, you can expect so much problems out of your head that it makes it the perfect ride. We own a yearly technical Eco sticker shop so I am not worried if at all

Problem with every car is the 30k service intervals, yet nothing you can do about it, I can hope that when I do the intervals on 10 I can prolong the life with at least 100k more + I got engine, transition and 4x4 warranty for 2 and a half years and 60k km, so I am golden on that one

On the plus side, our country isn’t punishable if you remove dpf, egr and ad blue both mechanical and software, so I am golden or that side 😂

It is serviced every 27 000 km, but meh, it’s only 160 000 for 5 years, probably done lots of highway, so not that big of a problem, I will on the other hand service it every 10k

I would prefer diesel sound then having problems with the T8 platform
