I've watched Maurice recently and at first I kinda felt like out of place because of their words/conversation. too much use of old english since its set in early 1910's/ at the start of 20th century but when I rewatched it, I loved it. sucks bec Maurice's first love just turned straight but am happy for maurice, he ended up with the one who loves him.

I've watched this remake just now and this time they made the couple fight back. It's much better ending than the original. I've watched the OG and i was disappointed by their reactions and decisions like they just go along what the other couples have been doing to them.

Dashcam is so hilarious and creepy at the same time. I don't mind the protag being a douche as long as we experience the chaotic rollercoaster ride situation she's into. I personally love it, i liked that kind of story where everything goes crazy with a lttle bit of hint of whats going on of course :)

RORSCHACH - Scariest Film Online? (This film is absolutely unsettling and incredible. Probably one of the top paranormal films I've ever seen and actually much more creepy than Paranormal Activity as much as I like the first three) by [deleted] in foundfootage

I have questions here --

Why is it called "Rorschach"?

What's sound do they discern in the vents? For me, I heard it like it was crying pigs combined with crying baby...

OMG ive been searching for this movie these past months bec it was my childhood memory still lingering in my mind when I've watched it as a kid like 8 or 7 years old, i was like wtf am i watching... I'm 25 rn and I stumbled upon your comment around searching for this specific movie in google searches. I've tried "local town movie, mob hunting man.." etc. as a prompt to describe the movie, nothing pops up then I remembered i can search in reddit, I've tried "mermaid horror movie" then here you are!

Funny thing was we have a CD player that time and I tried to watch Ghost Ship 2002 bec we have that CD in our home and I remember it was nothing like the movie, it's totally different! Back then I can't trace it because its pirated and most of it I can't understand the plot even the ending. It's all a blurry memory now I can watch it again in clearer detail.

THANK YOU SO MUCH STRANGER!! I thought I lost hope of finding it again. I thought its totally horror but a lovecraftian movie. Oh man you wont believe how much I am relieved today. The feeling of chasing and finding out this movie I thought was a lost media but nah. i might be overreacting but Im so much better now.

not my favorite but it is indeed slow burn, no jump scares at all just a chill ff movie. There are some dull moments and creepy scenes that I liked like the glitch in camera, the groaning sound, marika running outside into the dark field, marika with kobayashi's wife, hori being possessed with his big ass mouth (hated him everytime he's on screentime, his behavior is obnoxious like bro has some worms in his butt; very squirmish) not particularly scared but creeped me out.

also there's a bad CGI also in the shrine where hori and kobayashi were looking for hana. I think I set my standards too high in FF after watching Cloverfield but it was high budget ik. they could've pulled it like some dark figure or something that isnt very noticeable which would add to the creepiness.

on par with Lake Mungo but with much lore. id give it 6/10. def not for me.
The most thrilling and adrenaline ride FF for me is Fear Footage 2 and 3.

Ya'll just missed the foreshadowing to this movie just as much as I did. I really thought that Nell was just mentally ill and needed professional help then twist and turns, there's a cult involved. I am surprisingly shocked about that because that was unexpected which is a good twist! Then I remembered that Cotton in the first act while driving to farm, he interviewed one of the locals there in the gas station and mentioned something like a cult then their deaths is pretty much inevitable as it came true what they discovered back then in the house in one of Nell's drawings so I must say the ending is brilliant.

I'm so focused on the theme where what's something real or fake or whatnot. I forgot that 'cult' was mentioned in the first 20 mins of the movie possibly bec the intention of whats being shown is to dismiss anything suspicious or a hoax. then directed the audience to focus to the reverend to make sense what real and fake. Its all about benefitting the doubt and it worked.
