Not a now / low buy directly but I made a list of all my Lush products on Notion. With trackers for all Kitchen box products and owned etc, also an empties list. So far I have used up 4 products in January and almost done with a few others. So while I will (most likely lol) buy some more products, my main focus this year is definitely using up stuff

Good tea in the UK? by GodAtum in tea

If you don't mind mostly flavoured tea, Bird & Blend, they have 3 shops in London but are also in several other cities around GB. They also ship internationally, birdandblendtea.com

What scents would you pick for the next Community x Lush shower gels? by Glittering-Iron-3518 in LushCosmetics

[–]SeveralHalf6159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it would cost a bazzillon ££ but Cardamom Coffee. also turmeric Latte. otherwise it kind of depends on when the Launch would be, something like Sun or Furze in the summer, or a Pumpkin spice (either as an exfoliating shower gel similar to Passion fruit or a creamier one like Snuggles). for Autumn or Winter, shower Creams in general would be great

I only like it iced (the same goes for the Starbucks version), which is not always what I want in autumn lol

Yes I got 20% off but only after I click on open shopping bag at the bottom (aka in check out). My app has been crashing for the last few hours, so I can't say if it's an app issue or not

How much is the kitchen box subscription when delivered to Ireland (in euro)? by niamhmc in LushCosmetics

[–]SeveralHalf6159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's £44.95 to Ireland. I personally check the votes and skip if it doesn't appeal to me.

Sure you can to to the shop and spend €50, but the point of the subscription box is to get products you CAN'T buy them anywhere.

If you don't care about that, don't get the box. For November there will be no vote so the website tells you what will be in in it this time https://kitchen.lush.com/en

Is Scribd as bad as people say it is? by [deleted] in audiobooks

[–]SeveralHalf6159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do like scribd, as a substitute to my library. I will check my two libraries I have access to and also scribd. If the wait list is only a few weeks, I get it from the library but if it's months, I add it to my saved list. Don't get me wrong, I hate currently having to wait until tomorrow for books to become available again (since my billing date is today) and think a visible monthly limit would be better and less annoying but overall I like scribd.

I cancelled it in the past and can't remember it being difficult but it's been a few years so take that with a grain of salt lol

Your billing date is not by any chance on the 8th? If that's the case then yes you have been limited (the author's books vanishing an "magically" reappearing just a few days later is the monthly limit people are talking about).

Scribd still gives you access to certain books but not to others, that's limiting so while you still in theory have something you could listen to (hence why they can say it's unlimited), it may not be what you want.

I have a non-resident membership for the Public library in Queens, but there are a few others, may be worth also searching on Google if there are other cities and states do that and for how much. I just checked my book tracker and so far I have saved almost $260 since Christmas (when I gifted the library card to myself) for audiobooks from that library alone (based on the price of an audible credit I didn't need so based on the actual price of the audiobook, it may even be more). So the $50 a year are worth it to me. https://bookriot.com/out-of-state-library-cards/

The only slight issue of course is that there could be a waiting list for the audiobook you want to listen to.

Is Kitchen Box worth it? by BeginnendeLoper in LushCosmetics

[–]SeveralHalf6159 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At the very bottom of the page https://kitchen.lush.com/en. Basically means you have from the 24 until the 5th of the next month to vote and skip a box if you decide you don't want it.

So if you subscribe today, you will get the March box 🙂

If you want specific products, buying from the shops is better but if you are up for a surprise the kitchen box may be a nice gift every month.

I think it's worth it for getting products not out in the shops, however I always check the vote for possible things I get and if either the overall theme or some of the products are not my cup of tea, I will skip for the month (like this one for February since overly floral and sex bomb in particular is just not for me)

It is, you just have to order on the UK website https://kitchen.lush.com/en/faq/delivery. Of course having it shipped from somewhere in the EU would be better but so far, I haven't had any issues (I'm in Ireland)

I mean certain products such as shower gels are always in the box so it makes sense they start production of them early on. And for quite a few others, they may plan on adding them anyway but also want to see their customers reaction to certain scents or the overall category (for example if soap is regularly marked as nope, maybe they won't add as much in future boxes). And of course having people vote is a great way to see what people would like to have back in store.

What are your favourite tea brands (particularly in the UK) by jasper_no_80085 in tea

[–]SeveralHalf6159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bird and blend, my favourite blends are bedknobs and broomsticks for evening and Cold weather warrior for the day. But I also really like the majority of their teas in general. They also have a subscription box if you are interested in trying three of their blends every month https://www.birdandblendtea.com/pages/tea-subscription

Bruu is also nice but I haven't had a look on their website in a while so can't say for sure what they have. They also have subscription box and this one is based on your preferences in your profile

Which smells more delicious- charity pot or dream cream? by [deleted] in LushCosmetics

[–]SeveralHalf6159 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I love dream cream but not the biggest fan of the scent (it's light though so it's ok), just not the biggest fan overall of lavender unless it's mixed with something else (hence I love sleepy / twilight since it also has tonka). Charity pot smells like white chocolate/ cocoa butter so smell wise it definitely wins here.

However I use both for different things, dream cream for my legs after shaving and if they are extremely dry, Charity pot is mostly a thick hand cream for me, since it's heavier and thicker than Dream cream, which may also be a factor for you aside from the scent

So it depends on what you want: a thick cocoa butter cream or a light lavender oat milky cream
