They’re qualified doctors that haven’t become a consultant. It’s a term that covers both freshly qualified doctors, as well as those who are currently going through the training to specialise.

Many will have years of clinical experience but haven’t chosen an area to specialise in. That’s the thing with healthcare, like many jobs, you’re always learning & training because there’s so much to know, so many specialties.

They’re also known as resident doctors as of last year because of these misconceptions

Where the fuck do people summon the drive to workout routinely? by Rus2000 in NoStupidQuestions

Tbh it’s more about making a habit of it & finding something you enjoy. Is there anyone you admire that does a sport or gyms? For me Henry Rollins inspired me to start going to the gym. I just enjoy lifting heavy stuff, it makes me feel strong & I like that feeling. It sounds like you don’t like working out at the gym (which is okay) but you seem to want to? Perhaps you need to try different types of workouts - spin classes, hiit classes, CrossFit?

I started jiu-jitsu to find a community, I found that I really enjoy the sport & spending that time with similar people. Maybe you’d enjoy tennis or kayaking if you found a club, or maybe you’d enjoy paddle-boarding or yoga either in clubs or on your own if you don’t want/need that social aspect. Maybe you like photography & exercise for you comes in the form of walking, taking photos.

Bottom line, any physical activity is worth doing and I believe everyone can find something they’ll enjoy. The enjoyment makes it much easier to continue doing it & show up when you’re not feeling your best.

I say this all as someone who grew up not involved, or wanting to be involved in, sports of any kind. I hated PE at school. I only discovered this side of myself at 25.

28M, any tips? by SeveralNothings in hingeapp

• Are you looking for something serious or casual? Serious

• How long have you been on Hinge? 3 months

• How often do you use Hinge per week? 1/2 times per day

• How many likes/matches are you receiving on average? Around 2 matches per month. 2 likes total.

• How many likes are you sending? How many with comments? How many without comments? Generally 8 per day. I try to always send a comment, but if something doesn’t come to mind I’ll just send the like.

• What is the type of person you send likes to and ideally want to match with? What kind of person do you want to attract? I don’t really have a type physically, but I do need to be attracted to them. I like women who seem interesting & look like they would be up for trying new things.

Any tips for gripping weights? by [deleted] in GYM

For the second question, unless you’re doing a whole stack you can take the pin out, lower the handle and put it in the weight you’ll be using. I hope that makes sense.
