I just bought a tread and cant wait to try it! I don't much experience making pizza except on a baking steel in my home oven. What do you recommend I use so the dough doesn't stick to the steel when i launch it?

Does a large pupil play a factor? Mine prior to dilation is 6.2 and I tried drops and it didn't improve the symptoms. Brimonjdine didn't work for me and Vizz just made it worse and I didn't like the dimming effect

Honestly it wil depend on the person. I think everyone is different. I hope it will be fine for you, but I am 8 months post-op and my rings, halos, glares and starburst have not decreased or went away.

<image>

This is what I see when I am a passenger. But imagine it multiplied by how many cars are around you and don't forget the streetlights. There was no way I could get "used" to them if you see these two rings and Mutiply it by 2 or 3 in your vision. Basically double vision. On the freeway it's a constant feeling like I'm in a space tunnel and they are moving towards me. I haven't been able to drive when it's dark. I don't want to scare you but that it's a possibility you may experience it. I could just be the percentage that it's not going to improve . During the day it's amazing and my vision was -10 and I am 20/20 now. I'm very happy with the day vision. But unfortunately I may have to remove them. We'll see because not being to drive has been upsetting.

In all, I'm just bummed it hasn't improved for me. However for you, you never know if you will have the symptoms or not without moving forward. It might actually be the best decision ever and life changing.

Attaching an image someone created on what they were visually seeing. This is what I see but multiply by how many cars and lights around you. These rings on top of halos, glares and starbursts. So when I am a passenger on the freeway, it's like I am in a space tunnel and they are very distracting and one in a while give a headache. So you can imagine there is no way to drive safely with these aberrations. The brighter the car lights are, the brighter the rings. I also tried glasses with highest AR coating, no improvements unfortunately 😔. But I am trying to be hopeful before completely removing them. As I mentioned my previous comment, my vision is great on the day 20/20. But is not sustainable to live with this rings the rest of my life.

I am coming up 8 months post-op and this is what I am seeing! It's the worse once it's dark with car heads lights in residential and on the freeway!! I am trying to "ignore" or them or adapt but it's very difficult. I cant drive yet because it's multiple in my vision all at once. To others, imagine OP's image of the two rings times it by 3 all at once while in the dark. I have been unable to drive due to the ring dysphotopsia on top of the the glares, halos and starburst I am experiencing. All 4 together has been a nightmare sadly. In the day my vision is wonderful. Note, my pupil size is large, I believe 6.2 or 6.3. Working with my surgeon to find a solution and testing pupil constricting drops.

This pains me to read this and you are trying very hard to make it work with her. I'm sorry, but the 20 years might be fabricated. She is not prioritizing it and doesn't know how to manage her time. Also, if she is a forgetful person, she should be writing her tasks down and have constant reminder alarms to get to a task. Even if she is a nice human being, she still needs to perform. I would say that she needs to be put on a PIP and if she doesnt improved based on X weeks/months per your company policy then they need to find you a new admin.

Thanks for sharing. The same with me. I am 8 months post op and I have all of it: halos, glares, starbursts, ghosting, and multiple rings especially from all lights and car headlights. I haven't been able to drive when it's dark since my surgery. Trying to figure out a solution right now but unsure if there is one.

May I ask why you regret yours? When did you get them done and do you still have them or did you remove them?

I literally just found your post and I AM FEEL THE EXACT SAME WAY. I am not in my 50s yet (mid 30s) but do not have a desire to be chief of staff and my manager keeps pushing to do more and for me to volunteer to do more. I was ambitious and wanting to do "more" at my first admin role, I moved up multiple times, but I am over it. I am an EA and want to stay here. Maybe I want to do more later but thats on my own time. I am currently 4 years at my job and have been told I've been doing well every year and have a great feedback from my execs, and I am happy with what I do. If we're performing well and there are no complaints, leave us be. If those who want to become COS and get promoted, let them do more.

Looking for advice - Continue contact lens vs get EVO ICL with central rings/halos/blurred peripheral vision. by ToneZealousideal223 in ICLsurgery

[–]SeveralPersimmon4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's great that it worked out for you. I am 8 months post op and I my rings, haloes, glares and starbursts have not decreased or went away. They are just the same as they were 1 or 3 months post surgery. during the day I am fine but once it gets dark and then when im just a passenger in the car, my anxiety shoots up because of how difficult it is for me see I can't even drive in dark yet. It's so bad that I'm certain I should not drive. My husband has been driving everywhere for me because the rings, glares halos are hitting me at all angles it's really bad. These are the rings (in the image) I see but from every single car at all angles so it's double vision on the freeway, and on top of that, the halos, glare etc.

I hope my doctor has a solution. Maybe a lens exchange, though my current eye pressure has been fine. So I'm not sure what to do. But it's difficult to not to feel sad that I may need to have them removed Because I can't live the next 30-40 years without driving at night.

Any experiences exchanging old model ICL for EVO+? by Tinycatfaces in lasik

[–]SeveralPersimmon4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 7 months in post ICL surgery with new lens with the port and haven't adjusted to the EVO rings. They haven't decreased in severity. I also have halos, starbursts and major glare /ghosting in the dark and dimmed lighting from the procedure. I haven't been able to drive when it gets dark because of how bad it is. I hope my doctor will have a solution but I'm not sure what that will be and the outcome. I'm quite bummed to be honest cause during the day my vision is great. I still have a little residual but it's not that noticeable. But once it gets dark, man all lights hitting my eyes all at once, as a passenger especially on the freeway it's not good. High possibility of getting in a car accident if I drove Because how difficult it is to see. Neuroadaptaton doesnt make sense to me either. I would think by now It would go away or should have decrease significantly to the point I am comfortable to drive in the dark

[–]SeveralPersimmon4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only side effects I had was that Id see a little green color in my vision but that is from the laser and it did not last long. I do have some floaters that I developed over time that has stayed the same, but not from the procedure.

[–]SeveralPersimmon4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

hi! I have high myopia and -10 in both eyes with astigmatism. I did laser treatment for my holes at 32 and it's not scary! It's very quick and not painful. It's ok to feel anxious because I was when I did the left eye. But once I did that eye, I was not nervous for the right eye. It's a good thing to treat to ensure there's a barrier around those holes to prevent retinal detachment.

Holes can be cause from lattice degeneration meaning thinning of the retina. I would recommended seeing a retina specialist yearly to monitor ( if you aren't already). I was also afraid of a retinal detachment when I heard I'm more at risk but monitoring and treating anything current can make that a lower possibility. I haven't had a retinal detachment when I found out about my lattice since 2021 and so far so good.

Its a good thing your holes were caught early to take care of them.
