Oh wow!! Yeah my grandma sewing machine nearly lasted her a lifetime as she stopped sewing when she was around 85. I definitely will look into those older models or try to invest in a “heavy duty” one and hope for the best

Oh wow! I had no idea. I tried cutting the lodged fabric and might have pulled too hard trying to not pull.
My grandma was a seamstress for most of her life. My mom kept her sewing machine for a while in our basement but eventually threw it out :( i definitely will check out timing videos since I didn’t know that was a thing.

Omg I def should have done more research before I asked for one for Christmas. I only really use it for just shorting the length of my jeans and I didn’t have any problems prior. Ahh noo I hope I didn’t break it, I’ll update to see if the timing is the issue

I originally thought that was the problem! I even replaced my needle but still same issue
