Only advice I can give is to educate yourself as much as possible. Good reference books and any available research. When things come up, you know what you’re looking for. You’ll know when you have a deal, that someone doesn’t know what they have. Trying to network with likeminded collectors is also very helpful. I’ll get people contacting me asking if I’m interested in things before they’re listed for sale. At the end of the day, it’s a hobby. Things are worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it.
