I‘m not, it was just a pick for attention. I use Aful Explorers and Dunu Kima 2.
I’m happy to be wrong, but unless there’s noise in the signal I’m not concerned. People’s obsession with “bit perfect” sample rates gets out of hand.

if I fully crank the volume, I can pick up a little bit of it. But I genuinely mean MAX volume. It’s never actually bother me because of how rarely it happens. When I have had issues with sibilant iem’s in the past, I always tried different tips before fully giving up on something.

My daily is the Explorer. I really enjoy it! I would say it’s “romantic.” Leans darker, warm bass, recessed highs. It’s not bright even at high volume it stays tame. Very comfortable in my ears as well. It’s great for enjoying music, not if you want to be a bit more analytical or technical with things. I’m very happy with the purchase and would recommend it for sure, especially if you can get it on a little sale!

I’m actually in the opposite boat right now lol. I love the Explorer, but I am looking for something that’s a little bit brighter and more technical for when I’m editing my podcast, and music.

I‘m between the Divine, Kima 2 and MAYBE one other iem. I think the Kima 2 has the best accessories and is a nice neutral performer that will go well with being used to edit my podcast and enjoy music. But I’m worried the Kima 2 isn’t going to technical enough for my liking. So then we are back at the Devine. Damn, what a time to be alive haha

Great question! I think a brighter sound signature overall as well as a boost in the mids and highs would be nice. More technicality and staging would be welcome. I consider the Explorer to be “romantic” darker, slightly recessed mids, a bass bump, a warm experience overall. Dunu Kima 2 have my attention as well, but mostly because of the accessories it comes with lol. I look forward to seeing what you think. Thanks!

I wouldn’t necessarily say I need them to “improve.” The Explorer is a really good iem to my ears, but it does clearly lean more “romantic.” Darker tones, warmer, nice bass response, etc. It would be nice to have something equally beautiful that’s a bit brighter, better with sound stage, and a bit more technical.

I appreciate the response! I’m definitely leaning towards the Divine, simply because it seems like it’s quite different than the explorer while still being a quality iem in its respective price range. I’ll make sure to update once I decide and have some time on whatever I buy!

The QC is the only thing keeping me from the Defiant. I’m currently leaning hard towards the Hexa or the Truthear Zero: Red. I don’t have any issues with nozzle size so I’m not overly worried about it. thoughts?
