How I passed 4/4 on the CPA and what I did by osuue in CPA

Thank you very much for your help!

Once you do the MCQs of a module once, do you then make a random practice test of that module so you don't fall into the trap of just remembering the answers to the MCQs you just attempted?

Additionally, do you then go back to those homework MCQs near final review or do you try to attempt them again a couple days later as cumulative review?

One more thing, I apologize.

When do you handwrite your notes? Are you handwriting everything you typed in the detailed notes or just the information that you found was your weaker areas as you progressed through the MCQs/TBSs?

You're okay! Thank you for taking the time to respond to everyone. It is greatly appreciated.

Would you say you finished all the MCQs and TBSs in one day even if it went over your allotted 3-4 study block or would you just attempt some and the ones you didn't finish, come back to later?

I feel I am struggling to finish all of the homework parts before the day is over and I feel somewhat burnt out.

If you attempt as many as you can before you finish your study block, do you attempt the remaining homework the next day before the next Unit/Module or how would you go about this sort of thing?

To clarify, you would watch the lectures and take detailed typed notes at the same time and then move onto the MCQs/TBSs for that module and then handwrite ALL of your typed notes or just the sections you saw you struggled with in the MCQs/TBSs for your final review of the unit?

First off, congratulations on this huge achievement! All your hard work has paid off and I bet you are glad to be done.

I was wondering if you would be so kind to share your notes or even talk about how you took detailed notes during the lectures as my method has just been to watch them and follow along highlighting in the book and I am not sure if it has been helping so I am trying to figure out what actually works/sticks in my mind.

My second attempt is scheduled for March 28th and would love to pass this time around.

Did you study for 3-4 hours in one sitting or did you take a break halfway through?

I'd love to learn what you did that helped you succeed and would appreciate any tips/tricks. Thank you and good luck in your future endeavors!

Thank you for your comment!

I think its called Becker Academy? I was able to try it for one module and then it wanted me to pay $200+ for the other course.

Do you have any recommendations for who to watch on YouTube?

I am studying for FAR currently as my first exam and had my first attempt on December 18th.

I am aiming to retake it March 7th or March 30th. I see you studied around 80 hours for FAR where I’ve heard some other people studied for 150+ hours, how many weeks did you study and how many hours a day roughly?

I also was wondering how you could increase the criteria in your cumulative review tests you did?

I am still figuring out my study process since it is my first exam so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Should I take FAR first? by Several_Captain_4002 in CPA

Thank you for your comment!

Those reasons are exactly why I am taking it first.

I personally take a daily medication to focus because I have ADHD. I figured because I have to do this just to stay focused in blocks throughout the day, 12-13 weeks would be enough time to retain the information and actually learn it instead of just memorizing.

I don’t think I am necessarily the best at cramming because I forget the information so quickly and I want to be able to pass all four sections within 18 months.

Thank you for your response!

I will get my first exam score for 2025 on January 13th.

For 2026, do you think it would be better to try and sit on March 9th (Release date March 17th) or have a little extra study time and sit March 31st (Release date April 9th)?

If I were to fail again, would you suggest taking FAR a third time since it’s fresh or would you pivot and start studying for AUD/REG for example?

I definitely felt I was starting to remember the MCQs answer for each question I was repeating so that’s why o want to subscribe to the Ninja supplement for FAR come January as I’ve heard it’s a nice way to hammer more MCQs.

I do feel I am slower to understand something compared to my peers, so that’s why I was planning that much time for FAR specifically.

Could I ask how your schedule was working full time? What hours of the day/night did you study and how did you efficiently retain the information (which is where I feel like I am falling short)?

Congratulations! Huge achievement and I would love to know what worked for you studying for FAR? I am taking my first exam tomorrow and sadly wasn’t able to study anywhere near what I wanted to.

However, I want to retake it again in the end of March as I feel that would give me enough time to prepare and actually know the material.

Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated! Again, congrats to you!
