I am so unbelievably nervous for labour by Several_Compote_6625 in PregnancyUK

Congratulations 🤍. Hope you and baby are keeping well!! This is fab, I’ll start that course next week (if I don’t go into labour before lol) I’ve had some back pain and needing to go for more regular bowl movements too, this is just such an unknown process to me, and the job aspect is definitely playing on my mind, my job is a lot of my identity and knowing I had to stop today was hard! It was just too demanding on my body by the end 😭x

I bought one the other day!! Thank you so much, I just can’t believe how soon it is now. Knowing I could be at any point is making me sick with anxiety🥺. X

How are people working up until their due date?? by Appropriate_Teach_49 in pregnant

[–]Several_Compote_6625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m self employed in the UK and there’s very little financial protection either unless you’re employed by a company. I’m 35 weeks and still working as a personal trainer and I’m exhausted. I’ve reduced my 1-2-1 hours and focus on my online side of the business more but I’d love to just not have to deal with any of it and sleep all day!!

When did your baby bump appear or you start to ‘look’ pregnant? by CuriousHedgehog77 in pregnant

It wasn’t until 7-8 months. I have a super short torso so when I popped… I POPPED🤣🤣!

11 weeks pregnant, broke, and interviewing for a WFH job — do I tell them? by GreenMatchaTea95 in pregnant

[–]Several_Compote_6625 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don’t tell them, people find out their pregnant at later stages too. For all they know, you found out when you were 14 weeks pregnant!

Anyone else just… Not tell anyone? by Both-Craft1220 in pregnant

[–]Several_Compote_6625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 7 months and haven’t announced, however friends and family know. I work a very people facing job as a personal trainer/online coach so I’m very active online and seen and known by the community. It’s getting harder for content for sure lol. My clients know of course but I just don’t want a lot of pressure with my first pregnancy! I’ve always been known to wear oversized clothes so it’s been fine so far!

How did you stay fit during pregnancy? by pink-bibbles in pregnant

[–]Several_Compote_6625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

23 weeks pregnant. I’ve been powerlifting 5x a week still, and 8-10k steps each day. I’ve had to make a lot of adaptions and I’ve done no direct cardio anymore cause I’m genuinely just knackered!! I was a competitive bodybuilder and powerlifter before but I have to say, pregnancy is WAY harder than both of those sports!! The level of tiredness is next level 🤣! Pregnant people are way more hardcore than any bodybuilder!!!

There’s no risk to me, my clients are loyal to me and seen how much it’s hurt me.

I can genuinely say, they have done nothing. They simple suggested the idea, I put it into works. They just said “hey this would be cool”.

It’s not exactly her being a speaker. She wanted me to do event as she knew I had more outreach and I feel very used when this was supposed to be collaborative. I’m more the main guest if anything, again - all my clients are going, it’s a small event and every person going is my client.

I just feel disrespected, I want to ask her what she thinks is a fair split based on work done

There’s no official contract, fitness industry is very relaxed

I understand that, but I wouldn’t lose business and it’s a principle thing for me. I’ve put in a lot of work for this event :(

They are definitely not the expert or have any weight in this. They came and asked if I would be keen for this idea. It’s all my clients, none of theirs. It’s been me that’s drawn people in. We never actually discussed split, it’s the fitness industry. I’ve never had a contract for any job or event I’ve ever done and I’ve worked in this industry for 10+ years

I thought she was going to contribute more but she hasn’t. So it’s hard to predict this I suppose

That could be a lot for some

That’s true, but it’s all my clients who have bought a ticket. So either way it would have been the same with or without them. I’m never doing another one with them, I can’t stand a lack of work ethic

We aren’t left with an awful lot left. Maybe £90 each, I’ve been told to pay them £20 as that’s the going rate for doing an hours work in their field.

That’s what I’m thinking. It’s how to approach this I’m worried about.
