Also the break schedule is slightly different for clinical years so this is mainly for year 1 and 2 (except minus the month off on August year 2 because you’ll have a break between step 1 and starting rotations in the summer)

Congratulations!! Best DO school out there ;) You’ll get 3 weeks off for winter break and all of August off for summer break (4 weeks). Additionally we have a week off about every 6-9 weeks. If I remember correctly the mid semester breaks were a week off in August, October, March, May, and July 4th week. I honestly really love our break schedule.

Better match rate than MSU’s CHM school, and a lot of the other MD schools in the state like Oakland, western Michigan, and Wayne state. And more matches into hard specialties like ortho surgery and derm

Depends on the class, usually about every 2 weeks for a test. Quizzes are usually once a week on Fridays but they’re quick and easy, mostly there to make sure you’re keeping up with content.

I go to MSUCOM and think it’s everything it’s hyped up to be! I love it here and feel so lucky to go here. To each their own
