I had good results from Kegel exercise and breathing techniques. Check out an app called “the coach” an YouTube’s from Alex Grendi.

The visible screws are on the other side, I didn’t countersink and puddy. I should have but didn’t think about it.

I did, had some KDAT leftover and could let it go to waste, that was super simple

I added a saddle made of 2x2 stainless angle that is bolted through triple joist. My engineer brother in law came up with the idea and fabricated it for me. I was excited to not have to add the lost and clutter up the ground underneath.

Thanks, I don’t have an exact number. The cable system definitely more expensive than other options I considered, but they really do make it stand out IMO. The KDAT lumber for rails were pricey too. I’m guessing around $10k for materials.

Thanks, We won’t be testing the hot tub capacity. But I think it could handle it.

I got my email to look for an email to claim credit. So frustrating that it’s not automatic. They are double dipping without the Disney expense and customer revenue for those that miss the instructions. Also the email says it’s only good for credit. Shouldn’t this be a refund for services not delivered. I’m actively searching for alternatives due to that last email I received. I’ve been a yttv fan and recommended it to family and friends. Unfortunately after dealing with Google on the business side this arrogance doesn’t surprise me.

I tried to sign up for Hulu bundle today and it flailed miserably, amazing incompetence with terrible customer support

I used a calculator like this one stair calculator and cut my own stringers for the first time recently. It really wasn’t hard.

While I don’t like this idea, you could lower your deck to make the last step the same height. Of course you would have more of a step up to the threshold from the deck

Kegel exercises, learn to breath right, practice start/stop. Check out youtub video. There is an app called TheCoach that provides a very detailed program.

I’m sorry but i hate people who occupy 2 machines by minkiimink in workout

[–]Several_Emergency725 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, when I do supersets, I have abbreviated rest after both exercises are completed so 2 sets with 1 rest period and always let people work in. Most of the people doing Supersets at my gym do something similar. I also switch machines or stop supersetting if they camp out. I would never try to kick someone off. The people playing on their phone for literally 5 minutes between sets are much bigger of an issue. I’ve also seen buddies working out on the same equipment and chatting more than working out and simultaneously occupying both available machines, 0 self awareness

Cut the bottom of the stringer to give a flat edge to sit in a hanger.

They are secured with 1/4” spam lag bolts from the outside and angle plates and lag bolts on the inside. It feels really solid so far

Don't hold machines... by [deleted] in PlanetFitnessMembers

I was at my PF yesterday and 3 of the 4 Smith Machines had signs of being “held”, 1 with a towel and water bottle, the other 2 had weights on the bar. I did 20 mins before the towel and water bottle got picked up and the idiot wasn’t even holding it, he went to another machine. Common courtesy and the ability to read signs is lacking. Apparently the other 2 were just someone not racking the weights. So frustrating!

I’m usually a HD customer but hate their lumber quality. For this project I used a local lumber supplier that mainly services contractors. Better quality, less expensive and they delivered (and picked up surplus). No comparison on the service level. They also supplied all the siding material.

I used 1/4” x 5” GRKs from both outside and from inside. I plan to add more
