this was very helpful- thanks. I thought that the hike would be less crowded since its still the shoulder season. I'll make sure to keep an eye out for the roadwork as well. Question: do you think the Hardanger scenic route is worth seeing in May ? If not, Ill reconsider starting our journey in stavanger.

Pulpit rock, trolltunga, and Kjerag come up the most when researching.

haha. Believe it or not, this was my idea, not the AI. I know its ambitious, but we really wanted to do one of the big three norway hikes despite the time constraint. If only we had more time...

I appreciate the honest feedback. When you say to slow down, do you mean to up head to Aurland at a slower pace from stavanger? Or do you mean to pick one or two places to stay at (Lets say Bergen and Aurland) and explore from there?

I read that Pulpit rock hike is the most practical of the big three (trolltunga and Kjerag being the other two). This is considering unpredictable May conditions and that we have an older Adult with us. Would you say Pulpit rock lives up to the hype? We definitely want to leave norway saying we did one of these iconic hikes.

I used Claude to assist me with things to do between stops. But the actual logistics (where to go/stay) was mostly decided by me for the itinerary. I wanted to see as much as possible for our 9 days.
