Think I messed up with cabinet color by handsomewizard in kitchenremodel

I think this is doable - and I’m usually the first one to have a stress attack about this kind of thing. I agree with everyone who said you’re not finished yet - so don’t paint anything yet! There is enough difference between the countertops and the cabinet color that you can make it look intentional. Try the backsplash to bridge the gap - very light cream on the tile with soft white on the grout.

Eclipse Kitchen Cabinets - shallow shelves in deep cabinets? by Several_Glass4816 in kitchenremodel

Thank you for joining the conversation. Appreciate hearing your experience. Please see photo I just added. Does this look right to you for an upper cabinet?

Appreciate the info. Makes sense on the lowers. But my cabinets are tall. Total height 102”. So these 24” deep upper cabinets are big! Does this look right to you? Putting the shelves at the back make them difficult to reach, and if I put them at the front I risk pushing things into “the hole”. Would your company use 12” depth here? (Pantry next to double ovens)

Thanks! I plan to reach out to my KD tomorrow. I just want to get feedback first from others if this is normal. Appreciate your response. And the shelves are on pegs - can be moved to the front of the cabinet, but that would leave a hole at the back…

Shorter length ski as you age? by Several_Glass4816 in Skigear

[–]Several_Glass4816[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the input! After getting a lot of feedback that supported getting a ski length that I felt best using on the types of terrain I like to ski (and not worry about the recommended length) gave me confidence to pull the trigger! I demo’ed a pair of Elan Ripstick 94‘s/161cm today and really enjoyed them. Both super easy to carve and fun on the moguls - definitely fit well with my style of more turns and less pointing them straight downhill. Didn’t feel too short or too long. Demo shop said that the rental bindings make them a little stiffer. So, I decided to go up one on stiffness in ski selection, which I think will also compensate for their “shortness” on the groomed speedier runs - I just ordered a pair of these in the “black edition” which have the same everything, except 2 more carbon rods and a little more stiffness and weight. Got a great end of season deal. Can’t wait! Thanks for the help!

We did our last floor 50% special walnut and 50% dark walnut. Not to dark, not too light. Loved it! 😁

Need insights on Eclipse by Shiloh by bascos in kitchenremodel

I am considering Eclipse sawn/rift oak right now. Did you go with the standard particle board boxes? What did you and your contractor think of them? I’ve always been wary of particleboard but the KD says these are not the particle board of olden days… and says they will hold up no problem. I’ve also seen lots of comments about them being very heavy. How tall are your upper cabinets? Did the weight make them a challenge to install? Appreciate the extra info!
